Fixed squads
As in when 6 people of the same squad, determined earlier, are on they form a squad and keep it that way, it would help against the general confusion when you log on and find that 3 out of 4 squads are lead by idiots or people that cant talk.
I dont talk, so obviously i shouldnt be a squadleader, but i can still carry out orders. In any case, in the long run it would make a squad lot more effective than one just formed out of neccesity with people you dont know it also makes it possible to have specialized squads for anti tank, anti personnel and so on. When those 6 people are not all on at the same time, then of course they would have to make due with what they do have and the members that are on. If something like this has already been discussed, sorry i missed it, its 6AM so sue me :P. And also this is more a suggestion for the full version of BF2 and not so much the demo, even though i'd like to see it there as well |

Re: Fixed squads
I enjoy working with the same people round after round if the squad is good. Last night I was in Devilman's squad with hastapee and a few other good men. I enjoyed it and was happy to stay in the same squad all night.

Re: Fixed squads
Last night, Squad Five was who commander looked to, for several games in a row, to keep down the opposition's arty. As squad commander, I went medic, stayed in the back of the fighting, on the beach, and allowed my squad to spawn in on me, right near the arty, when they died.
It was fantastic, and we did it several games in a row, per Commander's orders.

Re: Fixed squads
Indeed. I'm finding that squad-level play is what most other games have as thier bread and butter, and that BF2 expands upon that ideal by allowing (and really, necessitating) multiple squads. And as with the other games, the more you know the people around you, the more effective your squad will be.
