TG night when?

Can we get a TG night for the demo period while it's still around. Pw the server and put it in the public forum here.

So we can flex our tactical muscles.

I'm also in favor of two nights a week.

That's a good idea. It would be good to get our tactical legs under us before the game goes live.

Let's pimp the hell out of these forums leading up to that.

If we have regulars who already love the server but haven't made it to the forums yet, we want our forums to be the first place they come looking for the password when they one night find a server password suddenly between them and the team-oriented BF2 they've come to love.

Perhaps if/when the full release comes out, this would be an idea. But for now, I'm willing to suck up the ability to play as I please in order to show the BF2 newcomers what TG is about during the times I *AM* on the server.

Seriously, this game stands to be a coup for TG.

I like the TG night idea, but I too share Poker's mindset.

We're gaining a LOT from the exposure that 50+ guest slots is giving us every night. Every minute that happens is another minute we're likely to have one fewer guest slots, and that's a good thing.

Maybe we should set a recruitment goal before having one of these nights? Tarpan and the others who have arrived in our forums could be the first of, say, 20 people that we have to get into the forums before we have one of these nights? That way we have some new blood to play with and we're not closing the server just for those of us who have a long-standing appreciation for the greatness of this place.

This would also give us a measurable goal for recruitment AS WELL AS an INCENTIVE for teammates we're selectively inviting (above and beyond the general pimping) to visit our forums.

Well the other thing we can do, is password the server for about 20 minutes while TG members form up squads and what not, then open it up again. That way we have setup squads and others come in and see the set organization, makes us look better.

It is possible to change the pw without restarting the server?

If we were to password the server, the non-TG regs would be like WTF right? So they come to the site in search of a password and BAM! 10-20 new members. Just an idea...

Unfortunately, that's a tad rose-tinted.

Yes, some will do that.

Some will say "wtf new server".

Some in the latter group CAN be made members of the former IF our teamwork is top-notch when you play AND we PIMP THE SITE. There's not a key you can press in-game (without going back to the menus) to see the name of the server you're playing on.

Smart people are playing on our server and NEVER FINDING IT AGAIN because we're too caught up in our own gameplay to TELL THESE PEOPLE where they are.

lol well i just joined the forums after reading this thread. i am a complete newb to the battlefield games. prior to this, i was a complete cs junkie (still am, to a certain extent). but after d/l'ing the bf2 demo....i was blown away. the attention to detail was amazing. plus, i saw the potential for a great gaming experience with the squad structure, etc. the only problems up until this point has been the steep learning curve, and the lack of any semblance of teamplay on the pubs that i have visited.

but this server seems RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! i LOVE to play as a team, and best believe, as soon as i get home, i'm firing up the demo and logging on to the TG server.
