It's a freakin' mad house!

2133 local time England, makes that 1600 EST. Servers are packed, and I mean PACKED. Couple of good leaders in the mix, but most are just dudes trying to play who unexpectantly get put into the squad leader role...then it devolves into the "every man for himself" routine. You guys need to get off work earlier so we can play! LOL

Funny situation, though I was cursin' up a storm at the time. Apparently, our newly elected squad commander was a little "indecisive." After our squad got demolished, except me of course (I was hiding behind a wall with my AT), our brave SL re-spawned in the rear area and promptly set a waypoint. **** hot, off I go. After carefully making my way, bush to bush, across the battlefield he changes the objective. Ok, no problem...once again I'm off. Bush to bush, yada, yada, yada. Just when I'm approaching the new objective....yep, you got it. He changes it again.

Considering the situation, I probably should have just suicided myself and respawned with him. Worthy of consideration, especially when everyone in your squad gets pummeled (sp?).

I was really happy with our squad movement on some of the engagements. I felt like I was in the "Moge" as it were. Great stuff.

Re: It's a freakin' mad house!

That brings up an important point. We need to help educate the masses. Most of the people playing the demo don't know anything about squads and responsibilities. I know this will be hard with 64 players on, but we should all try to remind them to accept orders from commanders, give orders to troops, etc.

Also, let's try to form squads and invite players to the squad. Many players don't know how to form/join squads, so let's help them out.

And if you are on a squad full of TGers, while all of the other squads are empty/foundering, it would be nice to split up a bit and form/join a squad and help them see the light of TG.

We all need to work together to make this community shine.

A useful message for helping players:

Quote:
press "k" to talk to your team
That gets the ball rolling nicely if you're dealing with someone ultra-new to the game.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

You're right of course, but with so many people on it was hard to get a feel for the objectives...and I definitely could have done better to help the commander out.

Nicely said. like all things this will come with some patience from the community, and of course time. I am very excited about this game, and the loads of fun we are going to have this summer, and beyond.

WOOT WOOT!!
