Man, I hope this is true, but I fear the selection will be made to be random. I dunno, the game developers have done a LOT of things RIGHT in this game when they COULD have done them WRONG, so maybe they'll hit reserved slots on the head, too.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

I think the big problem is actually the positioning of the text. Every other game that I play, the chat shows up on the lower left portion of the screen, so I'm trained to look there every few seconds for chat. Upper left is just completely out of the ordinary.

They should also change the color of the team chat to stand out, because blue fades into obscurity.
I imagine that server admin messages will be red or yellow and maybe have an accompanying BEEP for emphasis. They should, anyway.,.

I think our best moment was when we had to fall back from the west beach hangar to the guard outpost on the bridge just west of the construction site. It was rough going and the commander wouldn't give us any support, but we managed to hold off at least 2 enemy squads for about 5min until the map ended.
That was my team you ran into. We had a good firefight going there. I was a little slow with the grenades and a little quick to run into the fight (as squad leader), but luckily we had the West Beach point, so respawning wasn't too painful.

Maybe you'll think twice before trying to blow up the Marine's artillery, Tarpan...

Haha, we weren't going for artillery, just the flag. Good job of pushing us back, but you let us escape! Had my group completely flanked from both sides, and we still managed to get out. Yay for quick movements.

Re: Last Night's Games

Just wanted to leave a quick note that I played on your server last night, and had the time of my life. I ended up being the unofficial 'bullet sponge' for my squad much of the time, but my guys stuck with me anyway. Made me all misty-eyed. Feeling a part of a cohesive group pushes me to play better. Our side (USMC) did win most of the rounds when I was there, but I have no idea if I helped. You could say I diverted the enemy's attention by standing up, waving my arms and yelling "shoot me!" :-)

Now I just have to find my niche in the game.

This community has the potential of making BF2 a great deal of fun.

Anyway, see you on the field!

You, sir, just earned a brief but all-too-coveted spot in Wyzcrak's signature.

Congratulations.

Re: Last Night's Games

Hey Everyone,

I don't know if anyone remembers me from last night (my performance was far from memorable, heh) but, I had a great time nonetheless. FYI, I found out about you guys via posts over at TotalBF2.com.

I had some connection glicthes that caused me to have to rejoin a few times and this resulted in me switching sides. This was the only part that didn't go too well because about the time I started getting used to a squad I'd drop for some reason and then have to join a new squad.

Anyway, I plan to come back for more and hopefully, I will get better. I definatly need practice.

Also, I think i'll dust off my headset tonight and try out the voice comms.

Huzzah! Welcome!

Do you care to be called by lazy people as "Aces", or "Eights"?

I remember seeing you on the scoreboard last night. Hopefully we get some squad time in tonight!

Re: Last Night's Games

Hey Wyzcrak,

I tried to get into your squad a few times but it was always full . But, all the squads I DID play in were great.

Most of the time people just call me Aces.

Well, Aces, I'll be looking to get you in my squad tonight so that we may meet, and

so that you may realize how much I truly suck at this game.

Re: Last Night's Games

Ok, looks like I've been playing on the wrong servers......Teamplay? Really?

You guys wouldn't lie to a TG forum n00b now would you?

Just wanted to say it looks like an excellent community you guys have here and I look forward to reading and Fragging with you guys. (Although I have a bad feeling that I'll be the one getting Fragged instead of doing the Fragging......)

Re: Last Night's Games

Good times last night, I ended up in a couple very good squads... I'll be on again tonight at some point. I think it's time to get my flight skills together... hehe, perhaps I should practice "offline" before I wipe out everybody around me!
