I preordered BF2 from EA Games...in retrospect that was probably a mistake. I haven't even gotten a notification of shipment yet. What I was thinking, I don't know...although EA publishes some great games, they still mostly suck.

Anyone else preorder from the EA store?

Pre-ordered 3 copies to be delivered to the store. I was planning on picking them up today after work. ebGames said they won't have them until tomorrow.

He didn't believe me when I told him I knew other people definately had the game already.

Has it been established when the server is going to switch to retail?

Good luck...I preordered so I'd have a copy guaranteed when it shipped. Sigh.. I'm tempted to buy it at Wallyworld and be done with it.

All I know is that I will never, ever pre-order a game again. What's the point? There are always enough copies, and it allows the flexibility to buy wherever it's sold first.

Yeah - this was my first, and last, pre-order. But the Battlefield 2 *exclusive* Logitech headset tempted me into it! (like i don't already have 2 perfectly good ones already).

I placed a pre-order from the EA Store as well. I logged into my account today and they still have the status as "Ordered" so I don't think it's shipped yet.

I stopped at GameStop on the way home though. They will have their copies in tomorrow morning. I pre-paid for one of their copies so I'll have it tomorrow at least!

I know morose...leaves a bad taste in my mouth too...but after playing the demo for the last two days....i'm a junkie in need of my fix...!!!

Just called the Wal-marts in the area...they won't have it available until after midnight...i'll be picking up my copy on the way home from work.
