How long does it take you to load the map?

When your client needs to calculate textures, etc... approximately how long is it taking you to load up the map for the first time and get into the game? 30 secs? 1 min? 5 min?

About 40 seconds.

I'd guess about 60-90 seconds for me. I have a 9800 non-pro with 128 megs RAM and 1 gig system RAM.

It 'loads' in about 15 seconds.. It 'verifies' for about 20 more.

I load for about 90 seconds, and verify for three minutes more. I'd love to know how to speed this up.

About 4 minutes a map. But I'm running on an older system with a BFG 9800GT OC .. Leads me to believe the load times are CPU intensive

Anyway, im hoping i get better load times, ive got a XFX 6800, 1 gig dual chanel OC DDR400, AMD 64 3200+ OC to 2.4Ghz.

Usually just long enough to get a cold beer from the fridge. Sometimes long enough to get some cheezies, too, but never long enough to (a) remember that cheezies leave orange stuff on the keyboard and (b) return to the kitchen for some chips.

thats why you where sweats...and mine takes forever so i just orderd so more memory...i had to turn my graphics down to low so i caould play but when i did it still looked great
