For all you MEC's playing on the retail server tonight at 10pm pacific time, I want to apologize for leaving commander position abruptly in the initial minutes of the 'city map'?? I was killed, then my screen froze, and I could do nothing but reboot to get out. I had the same problem with the demo version, and now begins the long arduous journey of finding out why I can play any position in the game, but commander mode freezes within 5 minutes. It's really frustrating. I was hoping this was only a demo problem, and from the lack of reports of anyone else experiencing this, it seems to be my problem. I even bought 2 gigs of ram this weekend to speed things up. This is what bothers me about pc's: You spend thousands of dollars, you buy the game, you upgrade, you do everything right, and you still can't play the game properly. Now I have to go throught the xp tweak guides, the bf2 tweak guide, etc. I'm studying! I'm going to school just so I can play a game. Wonderful... (sigh)

No appology necessary. I was on USMC, and the loss of MEC's commander can only have been a good thing for us.

Actually, our commander was not on comms, and didn't give any orders the entire round. We did have some UAV and arty support from him so that was good. Anyway, it could have been a draw from a commander standpoint.
