Re: Trying to explain to girlfriend

Reminds me of threads of the star wars galaxies beta board:
"why do you spend time with me tonight, is the server down?"

I guess the following sentence (formed on the mentioned board) can be applied to your situation and to BF2, too:
"Star Wars Galaxies - real life starts when the servers are down"

Do we have enough So. FL. people to form a squad? "The Stalkers?"
I'm surprised at the amount of people from florida . It's kinda scary but yeah we should start a squad

Re: Trying to explain to girlfriend

I figured I'd go for the best of both worlds. "Cuddling" with the wife while gaming. One word...

LAPTOP.

Sure, it can be hard on the concentration. But you can be sure when there is a lull in the action on one side, there's plenty to do on the other!

Re: Trying to explain to girlfriend

When I met her she had hardly used a computer before and now she's crazy about puzzle and mind games and checks her mail daily. Some evenings she can be completely lost in some Y! game. So.. I haven't given up hope

Nope, new as of the BF2 demo.

As for how big NB is...I don't know, I can always look it up, but I'm at work, I should be concentrating strictly on forums

Re: Trying to explain to girlfriend

Vancouver BC here

My ex used to love watching me play Raven Shield, and listening to my clanmates on voice.

Her and I used to play EQ and DAoC together all the time too. I started to think of gaming time as our "time together" though... she didn't... hence the 'ex' part.

I'm going to have to find another girl who likes watching me blow stuff up now I guess...

Hmmmm.....maybe that's not such a good idea now that I think of it......

Well, we'll see how they handle it soon enough. Picked up my copy of BF2 and just waiting for the internet to stabilize so I can play

Re: Trying to explain to girlfriend

What you do is..get your GF addicted to another game you can play together..that's what my wife and I do...we play City of Heroes..and because of that she understands my need for time with MY game..

of course it does help when you are married/seeing a gamer chick to begin with. :P
