Special Force and support points score

Hey everyone,

I didn't get a chance to play on TG's yesterday has it was always full. So i headed to a EA server... lord... anyways..

I got to notice something wierd... I spent an hour sabotaging the enemie's Com and Artillery with another SF taking care of the sat and tank vehicle respawns.

After about 30 mins in, i had around 30 kills, and -40+ support points...???? I'm really confused as to how this works... It seems the only class that can actually rack negative scores are the Assault and SF class... anyone's got any insight on this?

(bad enought you don't get any points for destroying the enemies command, artillery and what,s not...).

Re: Special Force and support points score

What are points, and why should I care about them?

Seconded.

Though, I'm guessing it's some sort of bug. Like how you can get teamkills if you're fixing a vehicle as it blows up for instance.

Re: Special Force and support points score

Well i'm mostly interested in the way the system work at this time since i work in the business. To me, their system doesn't work and is flawed. I'd like to understand how it work.

That and having negative stats is never welcomed, especially when you get kicked from a server for it... Rizzo, yeah it was the enemy... not my team, even tho the flags were inverted.. which is another stupid thing in the game.. but hell..

I think the score system is an incentive to team play and should not be ignored. I understand some people are over zealous about their score, but personal scores can also have a positive teamplay side-effect: it can drive someone to want to improve his skills and ranking better in a game can a) give a good indication and b) be a nice treat to the player. Getting negative scores with a specific class is certainly not very pleasant...

DICE did a great job improving personal stats/scores, something players have been asking since BF42. I personally hope they will continue to update and improve their score engine to incite players to play all classes.

Re: Special Force and support points score

Totally agree. Funny you'd mention this M. Jones *cough*... I,m mostly competitive about myself... trying to always improve... That's also why i support the idea of a TG-only Stats followup on the server. I find it quite interesting.

Now if only there was a good guide telling how to properly use the supporting classes like the Assault and SF... that'd be great.
