Re: Wearing The TG Tags
I've read it a few times as well. I don't wear the tags outside of the TG server and the only reason I do in the server is so that the SL knows I'm going to be part of the team. The last few days I've seen a good amount of squadmembers without the TG tags running to the other side of the map alone.

Re: Wearing The TG Tags
First off, the original post is a great one for newcomers to the community. So another bump to keep it top of mind.
I am like many others who have posted. I played here for a while before registering and then soon after that became a Supporting Member. Then spent alot of time reading the Mountain of information on the site...so I have only recently caught up enough to start posting in the forums a bit. I love what TG is all about, and hope to wear the tag myself one day. It's common knowledge that Many people search out those TG tags, be they the basic |TG| or one of the in-house squads, when squading up because we expect a certain level of play. Hence the reason so many people, myself included are hesitant to put on the tag, because we know that then, others expect the same of us. We want to feel confident that when we represent TG we do it well. I agree that most people want to feel like they earned the tag, but I'm sure there a several regulars that would be great candidates that still question whether they are ready to take that step or not. I appreciate the point that someone should "know when they are ready"; but it wouldn't hurt for the TG veterans to encourage those they think are ready and just need that little nudge. A simple "So, have you ever thought about wearin a TG tag?" comment from one of the old timers could go a long way to showing those who have embraced the philosophy, but who still have some doubts about their skill or leadership or whatever, that somebody else believes they may be ready. |

If skill was part of being able to wear the TG tag then I wouldn't be wearing it as my squad mates would attest too he he. In all seriousness if you believe in the primer and the spirit of TG then place the tag on and wear it with pride. Good luck and see you on the battlefield with that shiny new tag on in front of your name ![]()

Re: Wearing The TG Tags
The tags are meant to symbolize your agreement and adoption of the TG mentality. It doesn't signify skill or leadership. So don't hesitate to throw those tags on if you agree with the way we play.
