Hi everyone,
I've been playing JO for over two years now. I played briefly for SWAF at Operation Flashpoint - a great set of guys, which I really liked but I couldn't spare the time. Now I play reguarly with a small group (about 4 of us) and we use Ventrillo for comms. We play for fun but we play to win, problem is when theres only 4 of you, your not always guaranted to get on at the same time so we are looking for alternatives. We've also just started playing BF2 which we enjoy though we get tired of some of the immature play on public servers. We agreed we want something more structured, still fun but more emphasis on squad play. I've seen TG mentioned on different forums and always in a good light - ie that you play fair, with respect for others and that you play in a more organised fashion. This is exactly what my friends and I are looking for. Our average age is around 30 ish. I just thought I'd ask some of the TG members if we've found the right place for us, ie friendly, organised and fun - but with mature players? How many servers do you have for BF2? How many TG members are there? If there is any FAQs or stickies I should be looking at please direct me. All the best mx5T |

Hi mxt5,
We are a group of people who like to play and play fair. In BF2 you have to join a squad or be kicked from the server which we have three of. You have to follow your SL's orders and he has to follow the CO's orders. These orders don't always seem the right thing to do but we follow blindly. This leads to a very organizated game with lots of good battles. There are some FAQ and SOP that you need to read. Sounds like your group will be a nice fit here.

The server rules and player standaards threads will give you a good idea of how things work here. One of the best things about TG is that you're required to be in a squad, or you'll get kicked from the server upon death. Also, when pointed out, admins handle (and by handle, I mean kick) those people who decide to join squads and not follow orders (no rambos here). And finally, the custom autobalance script prevents CO's and SL's from being switched to the other team. So yea, I think that's a good bit of intro info. Hopefully you guys will come check us out over the next few days, and see what we're all about. |

Re: Just wanted to introduce myself and have a few questions...
Thanks for the quick replies.
TG sounds just like the kind of people we want to play with and how we want to play ie fair, organised and respect for everyone playing. I'll defintitely come on one of your servers on Wednesday night and I'll give your details out to my friends. I'll also subscribe for a month and see how it goes, but I'm sure I've found a group of like minded individuals having read other members posts here )Thanks and see you on the battlefield! |

Sounds like just the kind of game we are looking for. The best games I've had on BF2 so far have been working cooperatively with one other guy, I can only imagine the fun to be had when most of the side is following orders and helping each other out. |

Re: Just wanted to introduce myself and have a few questions...
IF you do decide to become a supporting member, be sure to download teamspeak and connect to the TG server. This way, if the server's are ever full when you want to play (which is really common), then you can request for an admin, on TG, to make room for you.
Also, if you become a member, check out the member only announcement section to find the pwd for the private server.

Indeed, not much more to be said unless you have more questions. (Which we will be happy to answer.)
Welcome to TG, I'll be the one Hijacking your Heilcopter.
