"Domination" A new promising gameplay mod !
This looks like to be what we really need folks.
What do you think? Would TG admins consider testing this? Here is the description of the mod from the original post of developer Arcturus in planet battlefield forums "What is Battlefield: Domination? Domination is a new gameplay mode for Battlefield 2. Its aim is to enhance the Battlefield experience by focusing battles to certain areas and eliminating the repetitive "flag hopping" methods that we see in many games. In traditional conquest mode, players are often forced to capture as many flags as possible to gain a "points advantage" over the opposition. Particularly on large maps, players often spend more time travelling than fighting. Domination uses a different method by linking up flags to one another to form dynamic frontlines. This increases battlefield immersion, and players are generally always in the action, even on defense." And Planetside had it before them all. MUAHAHAHHAA!
I gotta say, I'm not all that keen on the idea, at least not for all of the maps. Some maps don't really need it, others may just require some general tweaking. I sorta like taking a squad behind enemy lines and taking out a remote base. It breaks the "zerg" monotony. |

And Joint Ops copied Battlefield push maps. It's the same idea. I think there was another person working on this and called it supply lines. Or maybe this is the same guy. Regardless of who is working on the game type, it definitely should be called Supply Lines just like EA called it in the code left in with retail.

This would be a great feature!
I like playin for "flags" but it would be interesting to see what BF2 is like along a more conventional battle front. I agree that too many people end up getting scattered all over the map and the amount of traveling gets old. It would also be sweet if the commander could determine where non-squadmembers spawned during the game so all resources can be focused on the enemy.
