Geesh, the game is buggy as heck and they're already working on an expansion? Probably not. The expansion is probably mostly features that they couldn't or didn't want to fit into the original game. But I sure hope they get a good patch out before I hear much more about them working on an expansion...

To be honest, the grappling hooks and zip lines seem like they'll be a little cheesy to me. Though I don't really like to use vehicles that much, I'd rather them focus on the epic theaters of combat that BF does well rather then go smaller.

Also, I demand an Israeli Sayeret side.

Sorry to be negative but this looks totally frigging stupid. The game needs some serious help not a side game with GRAPPELING HOOKS? ZIP LINES? This seems like an attempt to make more money and not to appease the people who have already supported EA and DICE. ZIP LINES???

I have to say after reading the interview I'm a little disapointed. Not that its a bad expansion, I look forward to using grappling hooks etc.. (though I do think that there could be some overkill in the game, we'll have to see) however I was expecting Dice to tighten up the main game: new game modes, more weapons etc..

Maybe the current trend is to let all the modders tailor the game to suit individual needs where the game maker just procduces extra content.

I was at first excited when they mentioned a focus on infantry based combat (which I prefer).. but then they went and spent all their time talking about zip lines and grappling hooks...

Not impressed with what seems like it will amount to a cs zerg fest.

instead of working on an expansion, the game creators should be working on the bugs along with adding new features in bf2 like new maps etc...however with that said, we are dealing with EA and since the want to make money...the expansion is the only way they can.

Well, it looks like they have a team already dedicated to working on bugs while another team works on the expansion. The expansion doesn't look awesome but it's got some neat stuff. Personally, I'm not ready for an expansion and don't think I will be by Fall. I'm enjoying BF2 the way it is even with the bugs.
