I wrote this about a... well a fairly long time ago. Suffice to say I wanted to encapsulate what TG was for me. With all the new faces coming here I thought I'd dig it up and share it once again...

I was in the void and totally lost,
The light I could not see.
For I was blinded with ignorance,
The Rambo blood in me.

Many times I would die,
And many times reborn.
Many times I’d run ‘n’ gun,
I now look back forlorn.

The way I used to be back then,
I cannot understand.
I used to think that I was l337,
And always had the upper hand.

“You retard noob!” I used to shout,
To those I thought were ‘gay’.
“You camper whore,” to anybody,
That paused for a seconds delay.

But now those days are gone my friend
I’m glad to say they’re dead.
I finally have seen the light,
I see clearly in my head.

For it was I who was the noob you see,
It was me who was the gay.
I found a place to go you see,
Before, these things I could not say.

And in this place I found my place,
I finally joined the stars.
Where everyone excelled with grace,
A place that had no bars.

Where skill and courage became as one,
Where honour had the day.
Where heroes from the legends would come,
And bring their skill into the fray.

See I used to be a retard,
And I used to be a lamer.
That was until I found a place,
A place called Tactical Gamer.
