Well, it's not Rather Tired Of, as when I saw the name of that post, I thought I would make this one. So credits to whoever posted "Rather Tired Of" for giving me this idea.

I, personally, am tired of being a medic under a heavy firefight and running clear across the field of battle, dodging bullets and grenades like a fricken ninja to revive my SL, and then getting no credit for it.

Revive Score, sure. But, I want an SL or squad members who will appreciate the flesh that I waste running across the open battlefield just to revive them or heal them or etc.

I am also tired of running a helicopter mission to the hostile air field and capturing it and falling, only to be surprised at the other end of the battlefield with 2 other people waiting for the helo.

This would be understandable if I did not have a "Cobra" or "Gunship" squad going on already, but when I do, and people pay no attention to that, it gets to me. Especially when they TK you just to take off.

And the third and final 'Tired Of' for me is being punished for TK's that I can't help. I was flying an ordinary mission across the Wetlands yesterday, when I hear my CO channel speak up only to say, "I need bombs dropped on this target..." He marked it on my map, and I changed my POV towards it, swooped in low, checked my minimap for friendlies, dodged those that I could see, and unloaded 2 bombs from the fighter headed straight for the hostile tank/APC/Jeep all lined up in a row. I miss threw one of the bombs, it passed over the heads of the three vehicles on the ground, landed on the other side of the fence, grew legs, spun around, ran after the nearest group of 4 friendlies and BLAM killed them all.

All in all, I got like 8 kills. I got the APC and the Jeep, but I also got four friendlies.

All that I see is, "You were punished for a teamkill" 4 times, then a box that says, "You have been banned from this server for excessive teamkills."

Now, I understand that if I were in the CS server and I did something extremely off the wall and insane, I would be banned, but point in fact is, this was an accident, and I was punished for it before I could even apologize. I noticed the name, and one of the TK'd people had TG tags on.

I'm not sure what we can do to solve all these problems, but something needs to be talked about atleast.

I think that in situations where allies are too close to the bomb target, pilots should pull off the target and let the CO know that there are too many friendlies in the area. That will give the CO time to pull those men back, and give you a better bombing run. If the friendlies don't pull out, then I think the air support should leave it a lone. When that tank destroys them and they complain about no air support, the CO can explain that it was their own fault.

If you bomb a target and take out a ton of enemies, it does no good if you wiped out the allied troops to the point that they can't capture the position. I had this happen as a CO the other night. An allied plane kept bombing a flag and taking out enemies, but he also kept wiping out the allied squad trying to take the flag.

The way I see it, there are 2 options.

1. Don't fly (not really an option though).

2. Be more precise with the bombs.

Doesn't matter what you say or do, people are going to not look at any circumstances and they are going to punish. I know it sucks. I pretty much forgive all TK's now, but I still look at the scoreboard. I got TK'd the other night and this guy had no kills, like 6 deaths, and -10 teamwork points (and a negative overall score). I punished him.

I wish I had a better answer, as I also really love to fly. However, I don't want to get kicked and have to find an admin on TS to get me reinstated back into the game. It's a hassle.

Punishing for a clearly accidental TK is idiotic. It's like the guy on the ground goes "omg, that bastard. He flew over me and singled me out over the 10 enemies surrounding me! PUNISH!"

It really sucks when my own squadmates do it. And then when I say in VOIP "WTF, you punished me?" and get no reply at all.

Im tired of typing in the TG IP every friggin' time -- why cant it save the last IP connected to everytime I quit/restart BF2?

Dude,
Just open the game. Go to Multiplayer. Hit stop when it starts pollling all the servers. Type in TacticalGamer.com in the search window and hit refresh. It will display only the TG servers.

add this line to your BF2 shorcut so you can load a server from your icon:

My icon way, mentioned above, is even faster. But also, you don't have to type the whole 'tacticalgamer.com'. BF2 will search on a wildcard by default, so if you type tacticalg only 4 servers will show. Ours and the tacticalgamerz one. You could make the search even shorter if you dont' mind having a few more hits.

But ultimately, the icon shortcut is the way to go!

This is unacceptable behaviour at TG. If any player does this, take their name and report it to the BF2 Admins who will deal with it.

We had a fairly successful flight the other day YM, It was good to get some practice in the gunner seat. Pity we couldn't hold that middle base eh?

But make sure you don't lock your squad, so if someone is interested in using this assest, they can join your squad to talk to you. And don't be a stickler about sharing, or you may find yourself as the one being kicked

The issue with doing it from the icon is that you cannot tell if the server is full or not.
My way:
1.) Start the game and log in.
2.) Search TacticalGamer.com (I type the whole thing because I ONLY want to see the TG servers).
3.) Select the server and log in.
4.) If the server is full I keep hitting the refresh button until a slot clears, then I quickly select it and connect.

If I was to start with an icon at say 9pm EST or later I would be reloading the game over and over because the servers are usually full 99% of the time.

Which is why I create an internet explorer icon on my desktop which takes me right to the TG server status page. I got it all covered! And if the server is full, the game won't close on you. It'll just take you to the menu screen, at which time you click on multiplayer and search tacticalg
