I was stuck for a name- seen the F-15 picture...StrikeEagle.

XS- Well i dunno what this is, i think StrikeEagle was taken so i remembered this 2 letter combination sounds like "excess"..pretty boring i know.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

I got tired of seeing names like "IPwntJ0031337" and "IAMTHEBESTFREAKINGGUYONTHISGAMESOWORSHIPME32" so I went with something mild. It was usually "Wimpy" before BF2 came out. "Wimpy" was taken when I registered BF2 so I became "The Wimpinator". Fear me. Really. Fear me.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

I don't really know where my name came from. I don't really like it anymore, and it first came around when I registered for the csnation forums. Now I go by either Acid or Ares on some games.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

Tycho Celchu is a Rebel pilot from Star Wars. You can see him for about a second in Return of the Jedi; he's the pilot of the A-Wing who leads the TIE Fighters back to the surface from the inside of the Second Death Star. I added 2 u's to the end of my name a few years back because some guy had taken TychoCelchu.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

While we are bringing name histories, you might as well add how you pronounce it.

Aculle01 was my login name for my college email account and I decided to reuse it as I knew no one else had it and as BF2 was my first online FPS I really didnt think about the fact that people would have to pronounce it. I still dont know how its actually pronounced, hell "you can call me susan if you like".

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

two song titles - "the leper affinity" and "bleak" - combined together to form perhaps the most awkward name in the history of online gaming. that's what i get for having an article in my tag.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

I have used Ransack from the time i first started playing online with SWAT 3 many, many years ago (1999). I wanted a tag that related to the SWAT 3 game (breaking in doors and ransacking a room), hence the tag RANSACK. I have since used it for all my online games (PS2, PC, etc).

Dick Blonov {D.Blonov} came to life (and death) playing quake II.

You can call me Dick (not my real name), DeltaBravo, or Blonov.

Re: Gamer Tag - Thought Process and Background History

Came to FPS mp games late, only starting with COD. I have an affinity for the workhouse of the infantry, commonly referred to as the grunt. When I started playing COD grunt was taken so I randomly added 70 to the end to make Grunt 70.
