Account server DOS'ed again?

12:40pm CST and it looks like the account server is once again suffering from a DOS attack.

"Denial Of Service". They're getting flooded with bogus packets of info in an attempt to shut the system down.

Denial Of Service Attack.

What happens is some punk creates a script that will request login request to the account server (bunch of them very frequently) the account server is overloaded. So regular people who wants to play have to wait for a long time or cannot connect at all with their account.

I was surprised and disgusted that they required you to sign up with gamespy. May be people are protesting and doing these attacks. I dislike GameSpy somehow.

pisses me off. i am lucky enough to work only a few blocks from home so i come home for lunch to play and... cannot log in... i guess i'll just hit up CS:Source

but bf2 is more fun

Acually I think they are rolling back to the backed up stats on the server cause of that all unlocked weapons thing. Thus you can not connect while they are restoring everything.

I hope they roll back the unlocks so I can choose something other than the G3, I like the gun but too little ammo and no noob tube.
