ive played in squads w/ both of them and there were times that the only person with a mic is our SL and we work very well as a team.

That's what I say, but she just laughs and tells me to play my game. *sobsob*


and to follow up recent posts I too have had some fantastic squad-mates without VOIP. They fight well, spot well, work as a team, and even use the in game affirmative/Negative if I ask them a question.

After playing CS:S a little, I'm glad of two things:
1.BF2 players are more mature
2.Those that aren't mature either don't have VOIP or don't abuse it

I hate most of the idiots on CS:S (granted I haven't hit TG's CS server yet) when they abuse the VOIP, but that never has happened to me on BF2. Most people are mature enough to use it properly. I'm probably a bit annoying as I tend to make comments when I get killed (dangit, crap, etc.), but I'm working on slacking that off.

Even if someone doesn't have a mic, as long as they can type a response, it will get by for me.

I don't use a mic because I talk at day at work and when I come home I just want to be quiet but I do wish more SL's had mics. I can't keep up with text and fight at the same time. It is so much easier to have him tell me what he wants me to do instead of reading it.
