Video: Tactical Gamer Raw (from last night)

I recorded a bunch of random video last night, i figured some would enjoy watching it. Since I had to encode it to wmv the resolution isn't the easiest to recognize names, but I was in Beatnik's squad. It was a quick editing job, so please don't harrass me about the music etc.

Anyway, some featured in the video:

Beatnick
Mannerism
Cream-of-Santa
Cymba in his heli

I can't remember more right now, but check it.
You may have to copy and paste since I have hotlinking disabled right now

I get URL not found errors when trying the link. How did you mean copy and paste?

Copy and paste it into your browsers address and it should work. I am going to go turn off hotlinking for tacticalgamer.com here in a sec though.

Sorry I forgot to capitalize the B, should work now.

Re: Video: Tactical Gamer Raw (from last night)

Right click on the link, click 'Save Target As', and pull it manually. That worked for me.

Looks cool Anti. I think I liked the Karkand moments the most when we were making a stand on the top of that ramp and down by the river. Especially the last minute or two with that weird synth music. It was a cool juxtaposition.

Can't wait to see more of these in the future of those 'epic' TG moments...

Eh not bad, too much running around, and not killing.

Re: Video: Tactical Gamer Raw (from last night)

as I said it was just a quick video from last night. I am going to be workign on getting much more action footage for later releases. This one was kind of a focus on the people and team aspect.

yes, although it is alot of walking, I like the fact that its in first person view, too many bf2 movies in chase cam or free cam, please stay with first person view, its perfect. Also I like the fact that the file isnt too large, and the movie not too short not too long, and that it fresh from yesterday. But there wasnt many kills, for a movie called RAW, I was expecting artillary carnage and bodies flying ragdolls, but it was pretty peaceful and quiet(game sounds?), more like a lullaby than the actual password nights I have been playing at TG. The copter song I liked, I tend to prefer fps movies that play the newest songs posssible, still the helo ride was cool. And great host too, very fast download.

Looking forward to the next AV movie,

Yeah I think the 'RAW' refers to a very rough edit, not the type of footage... I may have to go grab FRAPS too. Too many close ends of game in Karkand and others that I wish I'd saved for posterity.

Hey AV,

Nice Video man, content was cool and so was the music. We had a hell of a time on Dalian Plant in the Blackhawk. You should have told me you were firing AT missles I would have tried to keep it steady for you. When I was flying I was just keeping those lazy turns going, cream-of-santa was tearing people up with the gatling gun. Then of course Cymba would kill us in his attack helo.

That clip of when I C4ed Cymba in the tank on Karkland was classic. It was funny he had no clue our whole squad had come up the ramp.

Good games by all. Its always tons of fun in Beatnik's squad.

yes, I'm a big fan of fps movies, I can't watch a hollywood movie twice, but some fps movies I have watched over 50 times. Got to love those fights with close score, ties, there is gonna be plenty more, I am sure, people are starting to know their teammates now, the built in VOIP and chain of command really pushes teamwork forward for everyone, this is going to be fun for quite a while

Oh that was YOU shooting at me with SRAWS on Dalian Plant !!

Its so cool to see the battle from another point of view.
Hey what sort of machine do you have to be running fraps while u're playing yet it I'm assuming it isn't choppy for u. I'd love to do the same but currently my machine is pretty low end. So performance is unacceptable.

Strikeman: DAMN YOU!

Re: Video: Tactical Gamer Raw (from last night)

The video of the front in Karkland can almost bring tears to my eyes when I see that engineer crawling forward on his stomach to plant those AT mines and get shot in the process. Then that fearless medic runs over and throws himself down by him and revives him so they both can run away together behind five or so soldiers who are maintaining a solid stream of cover fire. I just thought that was beautiful and a true example of what we aim to bring to BF2 at TG. I think we need more videos.

Oh and for the people asking me, I told them I run a website.

It is where I hosted it:
www.hawtalta.com
I have 2 servers just for the site, one Dual Xeon, 100 mbps 2000 GB bandwidth
and my media server is 20 mbps unmetered. I go though about 7 Terabytes of data a month right now haha. If we get lots of peeps making videos I can setup an ftp to that directory to store them probably. What sucks is I have throttled to 40kb up on my cable which makes my uploads slow

Thanks for the comments everyone, I didn't get much battle stuff last night as I was to busy killing things when it was occuring, but the next ones will be much more ation packed and my connection has been messed up last few days.

In fact, I may try to get both teams to allow a camera man and let me get in between the action of both sides without getting killed. Well as little as possible as people will shoot first and remember later. Anyway, I'd also like suggestions for songs to use, I don't have a huge collection of stuff that would sound good. So, feel free to PM me song suggestions.

My machine is pretty beefy, but I need a new video card for it to run real smoothly, but thats going to have to wait for a month or so. Here are my specs
3.2 amd athlon xp
1.5 gb ram
9500 pro
sound blaster live
I run the low settings and I can play pretty smoothly.

Wait.. u run Fraps on that? I have
2500+ Athlon XP
1GB ram
9600XT 256mb

But whenever I run it its kinda choppy.. hmm maybe I need to check some settings.. I do run medium afterall. Possibly CPU and RAM could be my problem.

Oh that would explain why ur minigun on the BH looked like that..

Oh my, thats so cool. It just so happens I was that engineer crawling on my belly to lay those mines, and I had the same feeling after I died and that brave medic jumped to my aid. Playing in that squad was one of the best experiences I have had yet in BF2, thanks for an awesome game guys.
