hehe that was awesome. Pretty much highlights all the reasons I don't go to pubs anymore.

I especially liked the bit about taking a vehicle that someone is repairing. It happened every single time I tried repairing something on the pubs. Usually with the obligitory squishing to boot.

I also played one match on a public Sharqi Peninsula map where our team had *three* full squads of snipers. That was hilarious. They got pissed at each other for hogging (camping) the popular spawn points and eventually turned on each other. They also sniped anyone on their team who would try to take and control map points since that meant they would have had to move. I nearly quit BF2 after that match.

Can we get this stickied? I mean it is really just that good...maybe it could be made into a "what you wont find here" sticky.

<-- Wipes tears from his eyes.

That just made my day. Had a commander like that yesterday. Spent most of the game driving a tank and he dropped artillery anytime one of our flags went gray. Never mind to look and see how many friendly troops are already converging on the area. And who needs UAV or Satalite when you have Artillery.

And it is his first post on this forum. Are you like traversing through forums and posting this or what? But I think I have seen that name before in game...

Re: SomethingAwful.com Take on BF2

i dont agree with most of that post......in my opinion it goes against most of what TG is about..i could be wrong thats just how i feell

i did like this tho
Quote:
Many squad leaders will often request large amounts of snipers to join their team since the core of any useful squad is a sniper ready and willing to sit in one single location for 30 minutes, shooting at tanks and calling for supplies while refusing to move for any reason short of an air strike directly on their head. Never underestimate the monumental contributions a sniper can lend to any squad that really likes crouching in one location for days and missing virtually everything they aim for.

Next time you're in from the cornfield (howdy neighbor, I'm just down the road in Muncie) check out the rest of the site.. Preferably at home because some of their stuff is NWS. Lots of funny stuff there!

Never Join a Squad! - Squads are composed groups of people who are so untalented and crummy at BF2 that they need help to simply survive. You are not like that! You're a one man army! You're a soldier capable of killing people so brutally that they will respawn in a game of Battlefield 1942.
That's my favorite part! Kill em so bad they go back to BF42
