Re: New Video: A man at war.

for premiere just edit the file...export as avi then use divx/xvid proggie to convert to that format. Xvid is open source and is free. I have divx pro if you wanna "borrow and try it out"

Re: New Video: A man at war.

It would be nice if you could capture the audio as well and leave it in the background.

That can be done as well, but the clash of the 2 probably wouldn't sound to good.. I was thinking of just making it with straight game audio. I'll do 2 imports next time. I may have edited my project file to take all the audio out already though so we'll see if I can get it straight raw next tiem.

So much demands, so little time.

Re: New Video: A man at war.

here is a thought...output the vid as it is recorded to a second PC with your all-in-wonder card...

i could go out of my big box via s-vid with 1/8th stereo min to my other box with the all-in-wonder card to its input with the s-vid in and either tot he sound card in or the all-in-wonders audio in's..then you could do allt hat work on the other machine...
my other box is just setting there..it might as well get some use...

so..what do ya think..? is that do-able..?

then premiere it down to a nice size for broadband and upload that chigaboom for peeps to see it..

Re: New Video: A man at war.

The question would be is if your video card allows simultaneous broadcast over the S-Vid and VGA connectors. I haven't tried it with my 6800, but I know with older models it could only do one or the other. Maybe newer software/hardware allows it to be done now.

I do this with my 9700Pro and AIW, it works perfect, and produces smooth video with synced sound with NO slowdown on the host machine. Also, it encodes directly to Mpeg2 so there is no messing around with that.

Re: New Video: A man at war.

AV, would FRAPS (sic?) record an actual replay of a battlerecorded match? Yanno, so I can record and edit snippets from multiple perspectives *and* the free-camera?

Re: New Video: A man at war.

nah, but there is supposedly a way to record from the .demo file. There is a tutorial on the EA site, but I didn't mess with it to much as it seemed like a HUGE hassle and didn't work to well when I attempted it. I might go back and try later, but feel free to give it a try and let me know.

Re: New Video: A man at war.

i think i just figured it out.....play back the recorded battlerecorder and use fraps to record it. Like when you are viewing the battlerecorder... just hit the button to record whats on the screen (w/ fraps). Make sense?

Re: New Video: A man at war.

I wouldn't see why that isn't possible. But the battlefield recorder is supposed to have a feature to encode what you wish to AVI, which would be faster and easier than FRAPS.

Re: New Video: A man at war.

That is what I am talking about telorn. The tutorial to put it into an AVI wasnt' very good and I couldn't get it to work to well, but I also didn't mess with it for a long time.

I didn't even think of your idea Drunk. That is probably easier than trying to convert their stupid .demo files.

i have heard from several people it is a pain to record camera movements and then encode the video etc.
