New here, and a little upset.

First off, let me say that you guys, and 99% of those that I meet on the TG servers are amazing. Up until about a week ago, I was playing on regular servers and ranked servers. It wasn't until I got to TG that I realized the full potential of the game. I've had to opportunity to play with some TG players, watch their communication and how it affected the course of the game. Met Telorn, Temm, (think i saw Xink run past me once, but then i got hit with a frag... don't remember the rest), and loved every minute of it.

You guys are incredible.

Now, here's my beef:

I was playing tonight on the 48 map of Dalian plant, was being a gunner for my SL in an attack chopper. We were running behind, pushed to the wall, so to speak. UMSC had 3 choppers on us, so needless to say, tensions were high. SL goes evasive as I try to gun down the closest chopper. We take one down, while the other gets us.
Now, this much was expected, as we were vastly outnumbered. What I didnt expect was the rude, berrating, insulting voice on the other end of the line. My squad leader, the guy i'm supposed to follow, spent the next 5 minutes cursing me out before he finally kicked me off the squad for "not being good enough".

I'm pretty sure that he wasnt an official member of TG, but I was surprised that on a server of very mature, serious gamers, something like this would happen.
This is what I left the other servers for.

Anyways, I just had to rant. I really like TG and the people i've met (LuckyShot, you rock) and I don't want to leave because non-TG players are immature about the game.

Phew, had to get that off my chest.

Anyways, if you see me ingame, i'll do my best to follow orders. I don't think i'm good enough to be SL yet on TG servers (easily on the others though), so if you need someone to watch your six, count me in.

im not in TG but it seems that the majority of actual members would rather have a teamplayer on their squad than someone that can kill everything in his path. You just unfortunatly came across a bad apple. if ya ever get a douche of a sl, just switch squads (preferably one led by a TG member)

People like the one you describe won't last on the TG servers very long IF you take the time to report them to an admin... Admins obviously can not be aware of situations like this unless you tell them. If you read the SOPs, I think they say that getting on the TeamSpeak server is the fastest way to get an admin to respond, but even a PM the next day will help out.

Thanks man! I have only been playing on TG a couple days myself, but your a fine teammate and would be proud to have you in my squad anytime. Your heavily engaged in what the team is doing and are always supporting your squad mates. I cannot compliment you enough in your Team first attitude over points first. If you run into that situation again, there are plenty of good squad leaders out there or even swap teams and really make them pay!

Cya on the Battlefield!

Just at 1:2 it's wildly optimistic to think you can take them on but actually taking one down at 1:3 is a job well done. The guy was obviously on crack.

If anyone should have been upset, it should have been you! I mean, you were just along for the ride and your pilot decided to fly you in to the middle of 3 enemy choppers and try to fight? Doesn't matter if 2 of em were blackhawks with just gunners on board (not self repairing..), it's still suicide.

Yeah, only the MEC chopper gun is even worth the effort in a Copter dogfight. This guy is a tard. Now if you get the jump on the enemy chopper, a well placed TV guided missle can ruin their day. Still I wouldn't be that uptight about my gunner if he missed that shot. And expecting someone to pull off a shot like that during a dogfight is BS.

Me and I believe NAME REMOVED BY ADMIN was his name, were in the helo squad on USMC and I remember that well because we had been doing well in the Helo. Theres no way your pilot could expect a positive outcome with 3 choppers on 1......not to mention, this being a TG server, the pilots are better than standard servers anyway.......I humbly include myself in this group.

Re: New here, and a little upset.

Well, hey hey! First time my name has been mentioned in the forums...I feel...important!

I would like to mention that on Wednesday and Saturday, TG turns server#1 in to a 'private' game by placing a publicly announced (located in the Rules/SOP thread) password on it. So, on these two days, you are probably going to see drastic changes on the #2 server, because just about all TG-minded people are on server#1. You're better off joining the crowd on server#1, where the action really is!

Get in early, and don't leave, or else you're in for a very very long wait mid-way through the evening. Seriously-if your house is burning down around your ears, leave, otherwise, don't do it. Bring a bucket and a sandwich, you'll be fine.
