You are very wise, young jedi =)
Hm... I think that was a shot. But to word it more clearly...
Only a change to the design of the game itself can control what "lame" tactics are available to be used.

The only way WE can eliminate the use of those tactics against us is to prove them ineffective.

Re: great scrim TG

In live ladder matches, it's pretty much anything goes as long as you win. Until something is declared an exploit by EA or the people running the Ladder, it's fair game to be used.

We just play by a different style here. However, when we enter into a Scrimmage with a Clan, we agree to do so in a "free for all" manner....or in the style of 99% of the Ladders out there.

So if you're involved in one in the future, go into it with that understanding. What you/we may think of as a lame tactic, a TON of people think of it as highly effective and a strong means to winning their match. Which in a ladder competition, is all that you're judged by.

Personally, I'll take our style any day of the week. But you have to respect that the "match" style is highly effective.

Good games -hoc.

Talking Re: great scrim TG

Why can't they be asked to play by our standards? Especially if it's our server. Or at least rotate the rules.

Because they are playing us to practice for league games - they have map strategies built around things like quick heli-caps, and C4 jeep detonations, and they need to practice them.

Interestingly, since we WILL NOT do those things when we play them, they aren't actually getting the type of realistic match practice they need.

Nope =) I was agreeing with you, maybe I should have made myself clearer in this instance..

Basically you make very good points, and I wanted to quote those specifically for others to see if they had the same concerns as myself.
