Dunno my fps, didnt know how to check (do now) but I'm running;

P4ht 550, 3.4Ghz
1MB Dual Channel DDR 400 ram
GeForce7800 GTX
3DMark05 @ 6300

That GFX card has stuck the hugest grin across my face for the last couple of weeks
Do it manually, I think the files that make up your resolution are basicly the same from BF42 and BFV, its in your profile in one of your CON files, I think its video.con, just set your resolution manual, it wont affect compatiblity with online play I think (it didn't with BFV)

Or, you can get something like Fraps.
The command is case-sensitive, so you have to type it as below:

renderer.drawFps 1

Notice the 'F' is capitalized. The command won't work otherwise.

Also, if you mention your FPS, you sould mention which program you use, as I'm sure the ingame FPS and FRAPS don't register the exact same FPS.

Re: Your FPS

Specs:

AMD 3200 @2300MHz
1 GB Corsair
6800 GT OC
SB Audigy 2

At 1280 x 960 I get frames 40-90 with an occasional spike in the 30s when a bunch of people are around. This is recorded with the in-game FPS.

I have textures and lighting on medium, everything else high with 2x AA and 100% view. I haven't experimented with a higher AA.

Re: Your FPS

The 'F' doesn't have to be capitalized. At least it doesn't whenever I type in the command.

I can recall the console saying the command wasn't found when I didn't capitalize. It is possible I had a typo. It is case sensitive if you want to use a command in the shortcut, so I figured it was the same with the ingame console.

Re: Your FPS

x850xt @ 60-90 fps, medium mostly (some higher), 1024x768

santa - anything over 30fps (sustained) is fine. Higher fps rates provided by better cards merely provide a lot of headroom for moments in gameplay where a lot of stuff is happening, which can hit the real-time rendering pretty hard. But, since intense battles are where the fun's at, you want something beefy to handle it

Actually, ideally, you want a FPS at the same rate that your monitor's refresh rate is. TVs are 30FPS. Monitors start at 60 FPS (Hz) but can go over 100 Hz. The faster the refresh rate on your monitor, and the faster your FPS, the nicer the image will appear on the screen and the less strain your eyes will receive when trying to focus on something. I run my monitor at 85 Hz, so my ideal FPS would be 85. That's not to say that 30 FPS won't look good...it will...because the eye can't notice anything faster than 30 FPS. But your eyes will have to strain more if you need to focus on something small (like text) etc...because at 30 FPS text can be blurry.

For some reason though, Daqing is often 20 FPS lower then on other maps
