Suggestions For Adde Server Rules
The unthinkable happened twice. I was playing on the TG server as a squadleader and we got a crap commander. I dont mean a commander who did not manage to make correct descisions and was good enough to lead his squads into an organized tactic. I simply mean a commander who took the the position to play rambo with artillery and get himself UAV and supplies.
Not having a microphone, he replied to my tenth 10th order request by typing "no orders needed, do what you want". After this i could not get a reply to from the commander. I told him through the mic that his duty was to coordinate the squads and give order and intel. No reply. Through the game i saw the commander, sniping from a hill, riding a tank to the frontline (getting blown up) and even flying a jet. Numerous attempts was made of mutiny, we were like 5 people taking turns initinating it. I realized that not even once,playing public servers, have i witnessed a succesfull mutiny. Last time on TG server i saw something like "xx voted yes, 40 votes needed. Commander stays". How does this work, if there is 30 people on our team how could there be required 40 votes? (maybe this was not a mutiny vote, maybe it was a kick vote) Anyhow, my suggestions are: 1. In the server text when you load the map, add to the instructions: "Commander must stay safe and communicate with squad leaders, giving support and orders. Commander Should have a microphone" 2. If possible, modify the server to require less votes for a succesfull mutiny. Ive never seen an unjust mutiny on TG servers. 3. Im not a hundred % sure about this but i would like to discuss the fact if it shoulde be required for commanders and SL o have microphones. When i play on TG is for the tactics and strategy, and typing sucks.... Give me your opinions guys. |

Ick. It is possible to have a good leader who just grunts and points. Heck I lead sometimes and thats barely what I do, and I DO have a mic. Course... i'm not a SM... so... Sure! MICS for everyone! And ... kick'em if they don't use the preapproved microphone speaking protocol!

We have a mic speaking protocol??? i think i missed that one..
and having a not so great commander sucks i agree.. but luckily i have never had the same bad one twice in a row on TG. so just wait it out... next map will probably be different. |

I have to say this, a bad commander is better than no commander at all. Was playing Kubra Dam the other day at around 3pm central time on #1 so most of the regular players wern't on yet. We had no commander for about 20 minutes so somebody that I have never seen before takes up the role. He doesn't have a mic so he just types in "Just do whatever you want but ask for arty and stuff if you need it". He didn't give orders but did drop us supplies and give us UAV when we needed it. He was running around on foot alot too but I wasn't going to complain. Most of the commanders who run around will just resign if you say that you want to be commander.
