well..to do it with my little shogun or t-rex, you just roll and give negative collective while inverted and a little positive collective as you roll back over...i guess the faster you are moving forward the easier it would be...but i don't know how he is maintaining altitude since there is no way i know if in BF2 to give negative when you are inverted...

maybe the guy was glitching real hard and that si just what it looked like..

a loop is easy..pull back until you go over, but you might have to dive down for some airspeed first to make sure you have the momentum to get "over the top"..

good luck young jedi!

get vid of it next time please..

ok, you lost me on this one.

so i apply max rudder (a or d button) with max roll (left or right arrow key) while giving negative collective (s button)???

and during the middle of the roll, hold down the throttle key?

Sounds like an urban legend.

Re: anyone knows how to do a barrel roll and loop-de-loop?

i am not familiar witht he keys to use..i use my joystick..but yeah..you got to roll..joystick hard right or left, to get inverted, once you are inverted, you gotta QUICKLY go max negative collective, so that you don't PILEDRIVE into tha GROUND, and then keep your roll going until you get right side up again...now, how to do that and maintain your forward air speed and make it look axial..that would be a mystery on BF2..i can do it in R/L (with r/c not full scale) but have never tried it in BF2..

seems like it would be a lot easier in the gunships since you can go fast and they are much quicker rolling than the flying pigs are...

let us know if you accomplish this..!

Re: anyone knows how to do a barrel roll and loop-de-loop?

I accomplished a barrel roll in a black hawk when my right-arrow key got stuck and I didn't realize what had happened until half way through the roll. I crashed about 2 seconds after the roll though and haven't attempted it since. But, cobra's are easy to do barrel rolls in, i do it all the time in them.

Re: anyone knows how to do a barrel roll and loop-de-loop?

I can do barrel rolls with keyboard but i dont actually know what im doing. I just do it by reflex i guess. what i can tell you, though, is that after each barrel roll you get more and more momentum, making the next barrel roll that much easier. Also you need a certain altitude dependent on which chopper your using (the cobra can do it at the lowest altitutde). However id advise to not do more then 2 barrell rolls because every time i have, my gunner complains of feeling sick i havent tried doing barrel rolls in the BH because someone told me it was impossible, but now i have to try.

if you have enough altitude, all you have to do is roll hard in one direction without letting up until close to the end of the roll. throttle at max the whole time, of course.

its not that hard to them all. I even enjoy freestyling in the cobra. (I'll post pictures or a movie soon)

You can do a barrely roll in a blackhawk but make sure you have plenty of altitude .

I'm not sure about a complete 360 though.

Re: anyone knows how to do a barrel roll and loop-de-loop?

I do barrel rolls in choppers all the time, and I use my mouse to fly. All that I do to accomplish a barrel roll is move my mouse hard right/left and let it go. Never stop. To do it without crashing requires that you have altitude.

If you are trying to do a loop, it can be done. You just need quite a lot of altitude. Though, I can not see the use of this in regular combat.

I tried barrel rolling the Cobra in single player, and my BOT gunner kept bailing out on me. I guess the BOTs get sick as well. :-)

Whilst the enemy army is looking up into the sky and muttering to themselves "what the heck is that idiot doing" the rest of your team creep up for some easy knife kills

Apaprently it can be done easily if you set your settings up to be really sensitive/fast. Barry White has done a roll in a helo 'cos he has an MX518 mouse or something, and accidentally put it on full resolution. Whheeeeeee!
