Re: Medics: Ever feel like this during a round of BF2?
The worst is when they get mad at you for not reviving them when they die out in the middle of an open field.

Re: Medics: Ever feel like this during a round of BF2?
Hmm,
I just started to play as a medic more often and let me see...... Oh yeh.... People shout for medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...me dic...medic... medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...me dic...medic...medic...medic... medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...medic...me dic...medic...medic...medic... And they wont stop moving or anything Check! Sometimes I'll be ressing and healing ppl like crazy and find myself on the other side of the map from my squad Yep, had that too The worst is when they get mad at you for not reviving them when they die out in the middle of an open field. Check! Other one is seeing some one in need of medicassistance (a heal) and I'm racing towards him only to hear my SL go "MEDIC-----I'm down". Turning around, racing back, getting out of breath and just reaching him to see him fade into nothingness. Now thats a lowsy feeling. (yes I know you need to stay in the neighbourhood of the SL........but sometime can't resist the need to help out. Marco

POM! Oh, yeah.... I'm so with you on all those - esp getting separated from your squad duties tending to the weak and injured on your team.

The best is when you run through a bunch of fire to get to a fallen soldier to attempt a revive and have it fail. You know you're right on the guy but your paddles just aren't giving out enough shock. I find it usually happens on the sides of hills. The patient is right there but he dies in front of you because your paddles aren't making contact. Grrr.

Yup i hate that
it also seems if the fallen guy is in a water puddle, on stairs/a pole or on the slope of a hill i just cant seem to revive him sometimes. sometimes i tried 4-5 times in a row just to see him fade :/ |

Yeh sorry Bomm, I was having some bad luck on one of those maps with you Sat night. I'm still not sure if there is an inherent failure rate in the paddles, if netlag is mis-representing our relative positions, or if there are "mesh collisions" with terrain and objects that are preventing a revive. I'm hoping to test this more on the private server this week.
