I had forgotten...

Momentarily, I had forgotten why I play here at TG.

I had forgotten due to a loss of squad members for an unknown reason, whose names will not be mentioned.

I had forgotten because those members of my squad, who bore TG tags, did not have the dignity, nor the courage, to tell me that they were leaving and issue me with a reason.

I had forgotten what TG what was about, and who we were as a community.

I had forgotten what we do on the battlefront, and what we do behind the scenes.

I had forgotten, suddenly with no warning, why I was a member of this great community.

Then, I opened Firefox. My homepage loaded up and I saw Apophis' signature on a poll about what's the most important asset.

I remembered my posts on certain topics, PCS and BF2 alike.

I remembered the good days with Hastapee and the boys of PCS TKing at the start of the round with a para and not being able to play for about a half an our because we laughed at some crazy thing someone was doing.

I remembered arguing with Root when he kicked me for random things I did wrong and looking down on him when he served me as a teacher and not an enemy.

I remembered that TG isn't about a few people, it's about a lot of people.

I remembered that we are together as tactically advanced players who believe that there is a RIGHT way to play a video game, and that everyone else is doing it WRONG.

I remembered how much it sucked going to other servers in PCS after TG, and how much it sucks now going to other servers in BF2.

I remember my comrades on the battlefield who I have had some of the best experiences in my gaming career with, and then I knew.

I AM HOME

Re: I had forgotten...

I will fess up as being on of the players who bailed out of your squad. 3 times I had politely asked that kid to cool the chatter (first time I have asked someone to quiet down) but he kept on talking...on and on and on and on. I don't have a clue as to how you kept your patience with that kid, I honestly don't. You have more patience than an anorexic in a buffet line. You were the SL and he didn't let you get a word in edge-wise. The reason everyone (myself and at least 2 others) bolted out of your squad was because of that kid. Shortly after leaving your squad and forming another one, he joined me and started talking up a storm, at which point I had to kick him from the squad (first time I have ever done this).

I apologize for not saying anything to you, but I figured you would've known why when everyone started leaving.

I think that if TG started playing games that I hated, I would still play here, just because of the great fun times I know that I would have with the people here. I am so happy that I found this community, if I had not found this community I think I could possibly be a hacking smackf***. It's kind of like TG was the parent that guided me through my online gaming childhood. The only problem I have now is that I have fallen behind and I do not know everyone who plays here. I would like everyone to know me. Allow me to introduce myself, you may call me nick. I love you guys, and I wish I could pay to support this community. People must say, "if that guy loves this community so much why doesn't he cough up the $9 a month?," I feel bad that I cant, and I am from now on going to support this community in all other ways. I am not sure how , but I am going to.

Re: I had forgotten...

Yeah I left too nothing againts you Mom the kid was killing me too. I just didn't feel like saying anything to him. Thought it would be more polite to just leave than complain. We are all here to have fun... some of us only have a short window of frag time. Gotta try and make the best of it. Sorry it felt like we abandoned you.

Re: I had forgotten...

Yer Mom this has been bothering me, tonight on karkand you were trying to take the middle base on the dam and I came in with a chopper to take you out and hit you and we both exploded, you gave me a warning and I tried to explain it was an accident, but I got kicked to make room for a member, when I came back I was on your team and joined your squad, but I felt out of place
anyway you hadnt spawned in a while and then I got autoswitched and went on with the game

I want to make things clear that I had no intention of ramming you, I was just trying t kill you with the missiles, then I got ti close and lost control(im not the best chopper pilot)

believe me I did not want to lose that chopper, its a chore trying to get it back

I was all flustered when I said that. It wasn't really a warning, just a kinda "F-you, I just died and I wanted that helo."

I had to run outside when you joined me. My dog got loose from his chain and was chasing cars down the road.

As for the kid, I figured that's what it was, but I had no idea. I didn't post this to be PO'd, I was wondering what I was doing wrong, and it kinda turned into this. Maybe I took it too far?

You weren't doing anything wrong, it was Mr. Annoying that made us all leave. Don't take it personal, if I didn't like you I wouldn't have kept spawning on you as engineer to repair your tank and remove mines

I've had people leave my squad from time to time, I don't take it personal. Maybe a spot opened in a squad with their buddies, a squad doing something more interesting, etc. I just go with the flow, but I won't hesitate to leave again if that kid ever joins a squad I'm in. And I will NEVER forget his name either so I won't be joining a squad with him in it

This was Songhua Stalemate. Kubra was right after, so there's a chance it could've been the same guy, although I thought he got booted from the server for not being in a squad

I think you can mute people in the game.. If you push tab to bring up the scoreboard, then right click so you get the mouse, then click the manage tab. I _think_ there is an option in there to mute people.
