Battlefield 2 Reserved Slots Open Test (Sunday 9/11)

Hey kids.

The BF2 Stage Server is now up for testing. I've got it set to SM-only, which means that only SMs with their proper BF2 Profile ID in their forum profile will be able to connect and stay. Others should connect and find themselves almost instantly kicked. EDIT: To get your BF2ID, check here for info.

I need folks of both flavors to test connections to the server and provide feedback. Depending on the feedback, the server may not be up at all (if I need to update the code or something) for a period of time. I will try to keep this thread current as to the ups and downs of the server.

The playercount will be low, 5-10 tops. This is not made for playing, just for connecting.

For feedback, you can use any of the zillions of ways to contact me found in my forum profile.

The IP for the server is 67.19.59.226. For those paying attention, it's also the Dystopia server, which is why I'm not testing right now.

Questions and comments can go here, or you can contact me directly if you choose (see aformentioned zillion methods).

I just logged in. But I'm all alone, no way to see if the reserve system is working.

I got in as well I didn't get kick or anything. The "Join a squad" script is working fine

If you're an SM and got on, huzzah.

If you feel like going above and beyond the call of duty as an SM, remove your BF2ID from your forum profile and try again. The theory is that you shouldn't be able to complete the connection to the server.

For this test, nothing should happen once you're ON the server; the test is to see if you can get on at all.

I removed my BF2 id and I was able to log on with no problem.

EDIT: I forgot to import something, whic makes me amazed that I somehow got it to work before. I don't know if that's THE fix, but it's A fix, certainly.

MORE EDIT: Importing that threw an error. Goody. I love and hate computers so.

Grrr. The opening of the list seems to be breaking in a new and interesting way.

Server will be up and down for a few minutes while I check the errors its throwing.

I was able to login as both |TG|jepzilla and plain, old jepzilla, so it doesn't look like it's working.
