Battlefield 2 Ladders Launched!

For those of you not already aware, we have launched both 16 and 32 player ladders over at Tactical Conflict for Battlefield 2. If you are interested in playing with the Tactical Gamer team in against other teams that sign up, be sure to hop over to the Tactical Conflict site and set up a forums account and sign up in the Tournament area as well.

We're going to make a marketing push very soon to get the ladders populated, so get over there and sign up now!

Be sure to set up an account in the forums and then click on the Tournament link at the top of the page and set up an account in the Tactical Conflict Tournament Management System as well!

On a side note, you can be part of more than one team.

IE: I have created and joined the Tactical Gamer team on the 32 player BF2 Ladder but have also created and joined the "42nd Recon" team on the 16 player BF2 Ladder.

TG squads are encouraged to join both the Tactical Gamer team for the 32 player ladder as well as create their own squad team for the smaller ladder.

Am I right in assuming that you can only be part of 1 team per ladder (ie 1 on 32ladder and 1 on 16ladder, but not 2 on 32ladder)?

Just wondering as the 7th could probably get a 32 player team as well!!

Okay, newbie question here......what is a ladder? Is it just a tournament?

I believe ladders are just a ranking of teams based on match wins and losses, while a tournament involves elimination until there remains 1 winning team.

Is there a reason not to sign up for the ladders? I mean are there commitment requirments, regularly scheduled matches, removal if a team/player doesnt play at a certain frequency...?
