Need high-res overhead maps

is there any where in the game files that I can pull out the maps to draw on for strategy? They don't have to be as close up as the commander can zoom in, but something to the effect where I can point out specific ladders, buildings, etc...

My goal is not only to show the best routes, but points where specific squad members should be moving on to provide cover for the rest, as well as alternative action plans.

I am also planning to do some comprehensive command strategy write ups for specific maps with images.

Advanced Tactical Center is the way to go my friend. Forgot the site... Somebody will probably point it to you.

Disregard if you are aware of ATC, but check out this link... http://www.foolishentertainment.com/index.asp?p=2&s=6

It gives you a way to plan maps including closeups of flag points. As flag points change for 16, 32, and 64 player maps you can get pretty much an entire map zoomed in.

An example of it being used can be found here:

Look for Bom's post.

Re: Need high-res overhead maps

I did what I could, but have to really give all the props to the squads who were so effective. I know first hand that the best commanding can do nothing without good squads. I learned from my first experience that defense is key on Mash, and tried hard to keep the enemy concentrated on the mosque while my specialty squads rotated the rear flags to keep bleeding up. Loosing your assets its quite fatal, and it is easy to maintain a high ticket ratio while defending them. The mosque is the worst flag to hold and the easiest to bleed from, and the 3 main bases (including the tank spawns in the south) are the most important for each side.

We won that map not because of ticketbleed, bet because of frags. It the end of the game we had 400k/200d. Thats enormous.

That game was REALLY fun. Bhack was in our tank and I was engineering for him, he had almost 80 kills by the end of the night! He would get into position and I would lie next to him wrenching, then run away , chuck some mines, come back to wrench some more, blast some guys with my 12 gauge...so on and so forth. We were defending the USMC tank spawn for 2/3rds of the game and it never fell for more than a few seconds.

I was glad to see that I wasn't the only one who received the Phelan Dance. That was a good match and it was well commanded.

Re: Need high-res overhead maps

Wow... so many people on here that i have played with... Kinda new to the forums, hopefully most of u remember me from the game. But i have been trying to get high resolution game maps, something i could print off at kinkos and make wall poster sized things with. Basically taking screenshots from commander sat mode, then using photoshop to "photostich" them together. Its tough, because there are the commander artifacts, i.e. side bars, yellow tabs, ect. You have to manually remove em, and by that time, you have to take several dozen views of an area to have an effective map. Also perspective changes have been difficult, you will get shots from several different perspectives, and with tall biuldings esp its hard to stich em together seamlessly. Also my comp isn't great, Gforce 5200!!! Game plays great tho, just not the best graphics.

But i've been working on it, and once i email EA to ask for permission to print/post online, i will show you guys what i have so far.
