I'm BACK!!!!

Hey Everyone,
Its been a little over forever and 1/2, but i've finished biulding my dream rig, and am back in action. AWOL sucks. Nyways, if anyone gets PC gamer here, they will have seen the issue a few months back about "build your dream rig?" Yah... i biult it, built it and then plus some actually.
Case: ASPIRE X-Navigator
Power Supply: 650 watt ASYS Extreme Power
CPU: AMD 3500+
Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI ATX
RAM: Twin 512 Sticks
Video Card: TWIN GeForce 6800 GS (Overclocked GTs) on SLI
blah blah blah misc cd drives ect ect
Maxtor 200gb for the HD

Anyways, all of it 1800, and even better than the PC Gamer rig. Sounds like a jet engine turned on, 6 fans baby, i could cool a.... softdrink... *shudders at the thought* on top of this thing.

Anyways, this thing is a BEAST! Its taken everything i have thrown at it, and then some. Runs everything highest res highest settings, NEVER a stutter. You have to understand... i've been playing with a dell computer with a GeForce 5200.... it could barely run the game... made me sad...

So, now that i have bragged, let me say, Fry's electronics is an amazing store, and they have helped me build this rig. We went through 4 power supplys! (Stock wasn't powerfull enough, 500mw died, the next 650mw died, and finally this 650mw worked alright) But they were cool and proffesional all the way through, and i have to give those guys some credit.
(David Keith, Arthur, Antonio, John, you guys rock!)

And i'm back with the TG. I might join the supporting members again, but i dont know, depends on my next paycheck. I'll be back in action, and i look forward to seeing you all on the field of battle, at 60 frames per second and the shadow of your corpse being rendered real time.

Nice, not that I remember you or anything. I like to pimp out the computer I have instead of building a new one.

Welcome back!

FYI.... having only 1 GB RAM will hurt your performance in BF2.

Re: I'm BACK!!!!

BF2 really likes RAM.

I can't say that's my dream system, but it's better than mine.

Don't think of it as slowing down.... if you haven't played with 2 GB RAM then you don't know what you're missing.

Re: I'm BACK!!!!

I'm thinking of upgrading from 1 to 2. BF2 runs fine after I die once.

Re: I'm BACK!!!!

All i need now is a new mic, the one i have seems to be fitfull, but hey, its all good. Its been great playing with you all, and hope to get some SF action in there sometime!
Though... my mobo supports up to 4 sticks... would 4 sticks of 1 gig ram be overdoing it much? hehe

Re: I'm BACK!!!!

Go to Fry's, they sell the stuff cheep and good. Anyways, just save up 5 bucks a day for one month, if your in school thats money you would use getting snacks or something, for the rest of you, go get a grocery card that will save you a few bucks, then shop around for good prices, and save some money, anyways, 5 bucks a day for a month can get you some nice ram. Think of it this way, if you drive, your RAM costs about two tanks of gas, give or take. Trust me, you could save the money. I did, and i get paid 7 bucks an hour part time panera bread work!

New Years Resolution: Save 170 bucks a month, and at the end of the year, buy an incredible gaming rig, or use it to buy two 7800GTs and 4 sticks of 1GB RAM and a 200gb Maxtor Harddrive.

Re: I'm BACK!!!!

Hey Kaine,

Good to see you on the battlefield. I know you had trouble hearing me on Karkand while you were in the tank. Look at your audio settings to see how high the Vehicle Noise is set. I am thinking that you may have this set on high, and that would prevent you from being able to hear. Give it a shot and let me know if that helps.

Good games and glad to see you back,

Lucky Shot

p.s. Woo Hoo, 400 posts!
