More blowing of our own horn

Was bored, Sat morning, went pubbie raiding...

Natch, no organization, no talk, no alerting, no tactics to speak of. BUT I GOT A TON OF UNLOCKS, which sometimes throws a little variety into the mix....

Can't remember which server, because I picked one at random, with lowest ping. Got in, began to ran amuck emulating my own personal version of Murder, inc. Had been awhile, but I quickly got into the crazy flow of independent action and purposeless slaughter.

Midway thru the experience, FishRoy shows up out of the blue. We hail each other, then bust into TG squad speak in no time as we ended up (undoubtedly randomly, heh heh heh) in the same squad. A flurry of radio communications later, and I'll politely say we ended up 1-2 in points, and were hammering our way thru the map, leaving bodies en masse in our wake.

Is everyone well-aware of the rather 'dangerous' rep that the TG nicks occasion? I've a couple of mates who are in with us, who raid pubbies often. We're, to a man or woman, viewed as some dangerous assets to have with, or play against-according to them. Oh, I know I'm being a knob, and a bit of a nerd, but I kinda like that. Having an online rep for good team play, "excellent game" and a bit of the killer of the instinct makes my testosterone flow nicely....but I'll stop there in the interests of good taste.

Just a plug for our SOP, rather genteel code of conduct and rather tight community.
Currahee for TG....

Canuck

You of course upheld the fine standards of Tactical Gamer while sporting that tag, right?

Re: More blowing of our own horn

It was great to get some TG style of play even on a non-TG server.

It's so weird that I found Canuck on a random private server. What are the chances of that, like 1 in 10000? We had a blast and it just goes to show how great TG is. I hope in some way the rest of our teamplaying tendancies rubbed off on the rest of the squad.

Am I the only one who thought dirty thoughts while reading the thread title?

"Now, not to blow my own horn (though I would if I could)..."

Ah, David Letterman, how we love thee.

Well,

another quasi-serious post falls the slippery slope to being a form of innuendo.

Naturally, I meant nothing remotely close to some double-jointed functionality that some members might have thought of. Were I capable of such, I'd hardly be posting, much less gaming, or dating, or eating, or leaving the house probably.....

but that's another story for another time.

And yes Mateo, we upheld the standards.....forgot to add that we did not taunt, bunnyhop, paint slogans, spam nor behave in any other fashion deemed unworthy....

But we do respond to innuendo made of our posts heh
