Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

For the TG Community Wide Movie, we need some great movies of tactical squad play. Mabey some Fraps movies from the commander screen from one of our commanders, and some movies from SL's.

Could we also get some action one night on the private server so we can go back over it with battlerecorder?

Re: Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

Why don't we schedule something this week where we can film some fake team play using Battle Recorder. But it should be realistic, for example, shoot at people, revive your team mates, sacrifice yourself on a claymore so your squad can pass, etc. Just random, squaddy stuff.

Re: Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

It doesn't have to be fake.....we can play for real and work in formations and stuff. But we would have to time things over TS. "Squad 2, attack the oil cisterns now through the north entrance. We have AT's ready to hit the tank, and get your engi's repairing and the Assault grenades flying."

Re: Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

I dunno, I contacted freekyE a while ago, he just said he was busy. I get the feeling he got bored of making the camera tracks...

Anyway, that's kinda what I meant black, have realistic scenarios, but have them staged.

Depends whre we do it, if it's on the private server, it'll probably be supporting members only, or maybe they will let everyone in, don't know.

Re: Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

I think it will be mainly video editing, with little need for single shots.

And I just remembered something, when it's done, and the bf2cam files are made, send them to me, I do good work rendering them. Three reasons why:
1) I don't use Fraps, which can result in lower quality than actually rendering them, which brings me on to my next point,
2) The audio and video in synced, this is the reason most people use Fraps, they can't get the audio and video to sync when rendereing them. I have found an effective method to syncing them.
3) No nametags. I can't count how many BF2 videos I've seen with name tags, it looks completely unprofessional and are easy to remove.

Re: Tactical Gamer BF2 Movies

Just spent most of the day refining my method for syncing the audio. My previosu method didn't work as well as when I first tried it, so I have formulated a new method, it's kinda messy, but it does the trick.
