What size maps for how many people?

Most of the maps have 16, 32, and 64 player versions.. The recommended player number for most of them is pretty spot on. But, some aren't so good with too many or too few people. So, in the interest of keeping game play as enjoyable as possible, I'm interested in hearing population suggestions for the various size maps..

Like, 16 play Road Rage is good for a lot more than 16 people, and probably isn't so good for just 12 people. Or 32 player Kubra really needs 40 people to be acceptable, and 16 player is good for maybe 24 people. Really need to be pushing a full server for 64 player Dragon Valley, but just 50 would do for 64 player Sharqi.

Stuff like that.. Consider all the vanilla maps (except maybe Clean Sweep and Wake, since we don't touch those too often), the 2 boosters, and Inishail.

Ready? Go!

Re: What size maps for how many people?

daquin oilfields 16 is good for up to 25 or so ppl, the 32 good till about 45 ppl, 64 needs at least 55

dalian plant - 16 good for up to 25 or so, 32 about 40, 64 at least 50-55

Mastuur - 16 good for up to 25, 32 around 45...64 at least 50

Basically all 16 players maps are good up till around 25 or so at least.

just go by the flag count. If theres a lot of flags on a 32 player map, wait till theres at least 40 ppl on and so on.

Re: What size maps for how many people?

Sharqi 32 works until about 40, and the 64 works @ 45+ It's only 1 added flag difference.
Dragon valley 32 works for about 45-50 people IMO, 64 well about 94 people for the ammount of the flags heh, I really can't stand the 64 version of dragon.
Songhua, 32 works for a full server almost, probably about 50-56 people, and 64, well fill in the rest of the server imo, and it will work.

eh, all my thoughts on those few atm.

Re: What size maps for how many people?

I have found that most of the 64 player maps work well when the server is mostly full, but miss a small squad from each side and it can seem quite a lot emptier. As for smaller maps I tend to find a +50% as a critical time to switch up a level in size.
