Re: BF2 editor for the Noobs among us..like me
You may need to convert it to a grayscale bitmap before editing. I haven't used Photoshop for years so I'm not overly familar with the latest versions.
It doesn't matter what you edit it as, as long as it saved in the correct dimensions of your map, grayscale and save as the IBM order 16bit RAW file.
Though I don't think the BFplanet tutorial said anything regarding converting it before editing.

Ok,I will see if I can convert it. It does say it is in grayscale format and 16 bit when I open it though, just cannt seem to find what tool I can edit it with when in 16 bit format, none of the tools seem to work unless i convert it to 8 bit. What program would you recommend using? Thanks

Re: BF2 editor for the Noobs among us..like me
I'm still trying to get RAW files working in GIMP, my fav gfx package. However the only packages I've got them working in so far is Terragen, but landscape terraforming is a bit random, so may not be ideal for many people.
I've tried a package call Photfiltre, but this can't open Bf2 RAW files. I've also heard that Paint Shop Pro can't edit them either.
