    Crashing

Sorry if this is a dumb question but...

I'v been making some BF2 maps lately (Im a complete noob) and on all but 1 map It has crashed at 14-15% (Where it's loading objects) to the desktop without any error message or anything ... it's almost an instant crash...

I'm guessing it has something to do with objects.... but I have no Idea how to fix this ...

Then when your level crashes you will get an error dialog instead of a silent CTD. With the info there you may be able to fix your problem. If you would like my help just post the full error message here and I'll do what I can. (My level occasionally gets a problem which generally seem to be linked to issues with how/where the editor is saving stuff. All it has taken to fix so far is manually editing the .con files.)
    Same goes for you. ;P
Combat is very simple, there is a first place and a second place. Second place is laying face down in the mud...sometimes, so is first place.

well I have no idea what that means but, I used to crash around 15%
apparently you have to run the debugger program when you want to try out your level(at least for me)

    shortcut: Crogramfiles:EAGAMES:battlefield2:BF2_r

that should open up BF2, then do what you usually do to get a level started

    hope that helps/makes sense

    Re: Chrashing

I'm think until the final release where hopefully the bugs will be ironed out, general map releasing may not be a good idea.

Test it with friends but if you put the the map out for general use, you will have a hard time getting an updated map out there to every one who has the old one, unless its a different name.

From experience(Half life maps etc..) if I have problems with a custom map, I tend not to stick with it too long unless its something really special.

(I think that all makes sense, well you know what I mean)
