    Exclamation New Battle Mod, ‘Possible’ future Project, Most Advanced Military Forces of Sci-fi

    Hey Everybody,

    I’m looking for Modders (3d Animation Artist/ Renders/ Skinners/ Map Makers/ Coders/ etc). I am a Concept Artist w/ hundreds of ideas & designs for a Sci-fi Military Forces VS' War MOD/Total Conversion for BF2. I need people w/ some talent!     Here, Here... I thought I would post a few thoughts on the ‘Possible’ future Project:
    I want to make a Mod that takes Military Forces from the Best Sci-fi Series and Slam them into a Galactic War w/ one another.

    The following could be some of the series:

    - Halo (Human Military Forces (UNSC) & Covenant Military Forces) []

    - Terminator (Human Military Forces (Tech Com) & Terminators Military Forces) []

    - Starship Troopers (Human Military Forces (Mobil Infantry) from book & BUGS! from Movie) []

    - Aliens (Human Marines & Aliens) []

    - Matrix (Human Military Forces from the real world) []

    - Battlestar Galactica (Human Military Forces & Machine Military Forces) []

    - Star Wars (any Military Force (Republic and/or Jedi)/ think Ep. 3/ Republic Commando) []

    - Predators (nuff said) []


    Some of the Series, I think I would like to combin: like the Human Military Forces from Halo & Tech Com:

    According to the Cole-Protocols All A.I. units were to be deleted on contact with the Covenant. This was to prevent the Covenant from obtaining them & the information that they held (location of our Worlds including Earth, our tactic, & our technology). Skynet was one of the many Top-Secret Projects under the supervision of the UNSC & was similar in many ways to the Spartan Project “Which produced the MC & Cortona”. Skynet was state-of-the-art (like Cortona but with a greater yern for survival & a horde of war machines to boot, to include reverse engineered & perfected Plasma Weapons). In the beginning of Halo 2, The Covenant came to Earth & the Humans had to shut down Skynet seconds before 5 Elites were about to burn through & fry everyone in side. Skynet survives its imminent death by retaliating! T-800 Endoskeletons pore off the lines armed & firing. The focused Plasma Beams of the new weapon systems cut the Elites Shields & punched through their Armor splattering blue-purple Blood everywhere. This was followed by the T-800 Endo’s stomping the fleshy life out of the unarmed Humans that tried to end Skynet. Skynet decrees the Covenant & Humans are to be eradicated. The Machines Rise out of the belly of the beast to lay waste to all opposition.


    Think about it… Play as:

    (Halo Univ.) - Marines, ODST’s, Spartans/Master Chief, + Next Generation Spartans, UNSC Com Command as Commander Mode (Human Military Forces)/ little Grunts, Jackals, Elites, Hunters, Brutes, Prophets as Commander Mode (Covenant Military Forces)

    (Terminator Univ.) - Tech Com Soldiers armed w/ Plasma Weapons (Human Military Forces)/ T-800 Endoskeletons, T-800s M-(any #) Flesh Covered, T-1000s, T-Xs, Humans in league w/ Skynet as seen in the T2 books (Terminators Military Forces)

    These are just a few & nothing compared with want I have in mind.

    I’ve got ideas for all of the Military Forces/ weapons (+ some new ones designed by me)/ kits/ unlocks/ items/ how the Technology would collide (even some backstories/ i read a lot of Sci-fi Books so i know the series in-depth)/ vehcs/ thoughts of Map setups

    Think about using Tactical Nukes as a Human or Meteors from the Bugs from Starship Trooper, the Cov Glassing Planets as artl & the MC & maybe Next Gen of Spartan from Halo, Human case/plasma ammo and artl could be from any, Rapid fire Laser Shell Artl & Stormtroopers from Star Wars, the mechs & lightening weapons from the Matrix, the cold metal killing machines of Terminator (commander mode play as Skynet) & Battlestar Galactica. all the time having a wide range of characters in each, have Squads & keep a BF feel to it. & a lot of Human BLOOD/Machine BLOOD or OIL/Alien BLOOD. Any Series used will try to stay as close to the Books or best Ref. & allow for flow & freedom in the Universes/each Series

    I think the mod sounds interesting. Not sure how many people we have that are into designing maps or modding. It seems most of them are trying to just get a hang of the tools that are available for now. I started a map and got as far as the ground texture and just quit. I hope the mod works out and some people adopt it, I would be willing to test some stuff but I am not capable of creating anything useful.

    very cool man,

    ideas/feedback are needed just as bad as anything else. I thank u, for posting & support. In alot of ways i am a beginner as well. I will be learning as i go. i have many application questions about the Engine: Limits & Possablities it has.

    Good luck w/ your Map u should keep trying.. hmm Alpha tester.. if i get that far

    PLEASE comment on the Ideas.. i mean if there is no base for it then what? Well, i would probly still do it if possable and use it as a learning exp. for future Mods or jobs.

    This is the best suggestion out of the lot, choppers can be used on either side, the T's would use a Hunter-Killer drones and bombers. Tanks are no problem, Infantry would be similar on either side.

    I don't think this should be done, Natural Selection can't be beat Besides making one side depend soley on melee attack in outdoor environments (what the BF2 engine was designed for) would really suck for the alien side.

    Is this just a brainstorming post? I'm not sure of the intent. If you're trying to get people to join the modding team, prepare a design document. Get some ideas written down and described in detail. You have hundreds of idea but you have to concentrate on one. There are so many ideas here that are interesting but how would they fit together? Are they supposed to fit together? Are you just going to be the concept artist or will you handle some other duties as well?

    How about people show A TINY BIT of Imagination and creativity instead of sucking on the teat of other peoples sucess! I'm siuck of all these "LETS MADE A MOD BASED ON A MOVIE" or some other such crap. How about coming up with something orginal!?

    WOW! I did not expect to have any feedback here.

    Ok, well.. Ive got to go to class but, I will have a more indepth respawnce when I return. By the way, the MAIN Idea is to pit the different Technological Military Forces against one another. Oh, & I update the Thread over at BF2-Tracker Website daily so keep a look out. Thnx All

    The biggest problem with these ideas is that they are just ideas. Anyone can create a good idea. A good idea that has thought based on the situation is another story. I also agree with Buster Charlie in that people should create a new world instead of recycling the same boring stuff we've seen 1000 times before.

    in essence its still the same game, good ideas are few and far between, if you where writing the script for a movie then its all about the idea, but for a mod such as described its all about the content, imo

    OK, I am back & I am not sure what some of you are talking about (it is unclear if you like or dislike the premise of the ‘Possible’ future MOD).

    Are you asking is it underway yet; i.e. modeling, mapping, coding?
    The answer is NO, not yet. I am in the process of locating the necessary people w/ the Skills & Knowledge to help make this "MOD" happen. I also am trying some of the Ideas out in the Forums, if I stay with the current Popular Series... Copyrights will be an issue. So there must be a base & IMO a Petition for this MOD to come out Offically.

    Buster Charlie has a good point & I agree in some ways. I have to say, on my behalf, that I honestly would like to play as the Military Forces from some of the Series against another; like the Halo Univ Human Military Forces VS Terminator Military Forces. I have my own original Sci-fi Stories/Univs aswell, so no worries.

    Thank you for your post/insite. "Prepare a design document," I have been working on this but, as stated very early stages. Yes, I want to make it happen.

    "Are you just going to be the concept artist or will you handle some other duties as well?" I lack the knowledge/skill in which to impliment the ideas/designs to 3D & Codeable. I feel I could supply the info/designs in detail: how the maps would play, the kits/classes, weapons, items, vehcs, damage, new applications=probly will piss off the Coders but it will be worth seeing & playing.

    It's going to be difficult if you can't contribute more than just ideas. I recommend picking up some mapping or modeling skills to help out the team. Otherwise, you got nothing more than a dime-a-dozen ideas and maybe not so according to Buster.
