Omayyad Outskirts
Hey there guys
Here is a Map that I was working on today. This is my first semi-complete map. The rest that I've worked on were mostly just goofing off. Got kinda burnt out on it and I wanted to see what you guys thought. Here is the link:
http://www.bendlinux.com/OmayyadOutskirts.rar (16 megs compresses / 91 megs uncompressed)
Just unzip it to you "Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/levels" folder and fire up the editor or fire up BF2 to try it out so far.
If you look at it obvisouly the USMC need some work. There needs to be a couple bridges. The combat zone will sort of force the combat in a "u" shaped corridor eventually . I like the compound in the middle of the map. Feels like it will make for some good firefights. I hope that the "urban" area will be active as well. I will most likely add two more CP's in the city, and two more at the ends of the roads that lead nowhere.
I was going for a Green/Wooded area. The "brown stripe" through the middle of the map is a river that no longer flows water.
So far I have no plans for Aircraft on the map.
If ya want to help with It, go ahead. Change/add what you think it needs. If ya want a place to host what you've changed I'll give ya some FTP space.
Have a good day.Last edited by Syphonist; 09-01-2005 at 09:06 PM.

Re: Omayyad Outskirts
Hmm? Not sure what would have caused it. I run the game at 1280x1024 with low setting to get top FPS, so there may be to many trees for any other quality setting

Re: Omayyad Outskirts
It works now, tired it real quick. Not sure if you know but the MEC base has US vehicles and opposite for the US. The US base also has a Chinese flag flying. But like you said you are not done, that is the kind of map I was thinking about doing. I like what I see so far you fort design is awesome, you might need to add some more cover for the attacking force because they will be mowed down quickly.

Re: Omayyad Outskirts
Thanks Turbo. Yeah the map still need lots of work. I'm thinking about just "re-doing" it.
