Ladders?
Where do the ladders go when you load them up in the editor. I am trying to put them on the carrier but every time I load one I cant drag it onto the map. Any ideas?

mabey under view menu or something. set all objects to show up or something. ive never used the editor so i dont know.

Make sure you are in the level editor and not the terrain editor. I do this all the time and it doesn't let you drop any objects.
Also, ladders many times will appear underground. On the left hand side, under your myLevel tree, go find the ladder in question. Select it and you will see the three dimensional positional box. Select the green up arrow and pull the ladder out of the ground.
Also... do you have any screenshots of what you're referring to? I'm only guessing with my answers.

I just cant find it in the tree on the left when I load it up. I think I am just going to copy the carrier over from a stock map so it is all ready with the lights. Thanks.

Has anyone been able to use the ladders for the crane, when I try to use them it gives me this error.

Any ideas, the crane wont be used in gameplay but I sure would like to make it right.

it must have gotten slightly corrupted when you installed the game. try to find that mesh under c:/program files/EA games/Battlefield2/objects/staticobjects/industry/ind_objects/common/Meshes/const_crane_ladder_19m.collisionMesh
or something like that. just look for the file that isnt found and then search for it online or something.

Its weird because it seems all my ladders that are made for objects don't work. Who knows this editor is so buggy.

I think most objects have the ladders already attached and you don't need to add them separately.

I don't see any on the crane. It really doesn't matter anyway, i'm going to start all over because my map is way to large. I need to start small and work my way up because I don't have a clue.
