The Official Map Review Page

so every one has been talking about new maps lately, and I though why not put up a page for people to come and review there own maps, or maps they've seen and would like to see on these servers, or just map ideas you would like to see done but your editing skills lack in the skills department

El Alemein (sp?)

So I downloaded this a few days ago and I must say is impressive. I style of gameplay I think would be more suited for air to air rounds, but we have alot of pilots in these servers.
Theres 3 jets for each team, plus three attack choppers, and a transport, plus alot of armor and buggies for the pilots to practice on
the map consist of 2 UCB's plus two neutral flags to take

this map is kind of small but the author has released and XXL version-

other- the auther has also put up a very nice loading screen, with good pictures and nice music to get you thru those long waits

Re: The Official Map Review Page

I tried the regular sized map and the roads were not smothed out so it seemed hard to drive around. Which the majority of the forces will be doing. I had a hard time climbing the hill to the top CP because their are ditches in the road. The map layout didn't seem like the the original either. I think it could be good but it seems to need some more polishing up.

Re: The Official Map Review Page

well yeah, but I didnt do much driving around, the author probably didnt build the map for ground combat.

I guess this really wouldnt fit in TG's style of gameplay though

oh well its a good map, at least it stands out from most

Re: The Official Map Review Page

Here are a few overhead pictures of the map. I think this map seems really good, if I have time Friday I will do a full review. If you want to download the map lunisicx provided the link above. This is currently in beta testing so their will be some improvements over the current map.
