Desert Conflict Video
Here is a video that I found at Desert-Conflict.
It is a video of the Desert Conflict mod. Be advised, file is 36 MB. Enjoy.

Re: Desert Conflict Video
That;s great!! This and POE are the 2 mods I am looking forward to the most. Geez I bought BF 1942 just to play DC, which I must have played the hell out of.

Re: Desert Conflict Video
First half of the video was WAAAAAY too much "Look, sand!" for me. Second half was better, with all those tanks shooting each other and stuff, until the end where they transition to the music that Disney uses in all its trailers. I started laughing since there were all these tanks and all i could think of was princesses and horsies and stuff.
Looks fun though. Sure, it's just sand and tanks, but hey. Fun!

Re: Desert Conflict Video
I guess it'll be good to go back and play in a familiar environment but it looks a lot like BF2 with a bunch of desert maps instead of rich, lush environment we now play.

Re: Desert Conflict Video
Looks more like an overhyped map instead of a mod to me...it's just a bunch of tanks shooting each other on a desert map. I'm sure that can be fun but I wouldn't dedicate an entire mod to it...

Re: Desert Conflict Video
That thing had quite a variety of music. Bagpipes (or something very similar) at the beggining, then really dramtic, chanting type music, and finally some weird Disney music. It was still a pretty neat video after it got past the "Wow, look at the all the sand!" part. +rep

Re: Desert Conflict Video
Desert Combat (the original mod by these guys for 1942) took 1942 to a whole new level. I'm very optimistic about Desert Conflict doing the same thing for BF2.

This and the TFC mod for HL2 are the things I lust for. I really loved the DCF map First Light, with the little helo that fired TOW missiles, and the CP hoving in the middle of the map.
