Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
I played when it was first released, before i found TG, though i soon stopped as my shotgun didnt have a crosshair and theres no iron sights for it.

when I was in the army, heat stood for high explosive anti tank.. a shaped charge.

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
I played the .1 very breifly. The poor graphics for the huds in that version where a turn-off, but I do like many of the changes. Removing the crosshairs is good in theory, but I found it makes simple things like spotting an enemy effectively much more difficult. So you get spammed with lots of generic spots instead of one spot for that tank over the hill.

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
Hi pippip, welcome to TG! We don't currently run the mod on our servers, but we do have an in-house mod that has a similar goal as this one if you'd like to try something new. Check the General BF2 forum for an announcement regarding a play test this week, and make sure you're familiar with the SOPs and rules when you hop on our servers

Hi all,
we're running the final release of PRMM with AAS on our server The Meathook @ 87.240.138.22:16568
Everybody is welcome...especially our |TG| friends
Personally speaking, I've found it to be ultra realistic eg.
medic can't toss medi packs, but rather has to attend to his patient.
enemy veh's are locked afaik
no crosshair in unscoped mode, and iron sights when scoped
AT only has a pistol
you can find out more at http
://realitymod.com/index.php?page=release_prmm02
I'm still getting to grips with it atm, but 1st impressions are good

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
I was messing around with this in single player. Mixed feelings for it. I only played it on Karkand though.
Good :
-Seems there is slower movement, but more endurance to sprint.
-Jump height is reduced
-No Crosshair/hit indicator
-TOW missile fires instantly when you jump in it, instead of the 2-3 second delay
-Cool sound effects
-M16 does more damage or people have less life.
Those are just a few things.
Bad:
-LMG's are too accurate while using the iron sights. Yes, I know some people say that the LMG is supposed to be accurate and deadly... in real life. This is a game, games need balance.
-M24 accuracy is terrible
-Can't tell where I'm being shot from(no indicator)
-Bleeding(sounds like I'm being shot)
-C4 is weak, seems like I need all 4 on a tank.
-M16 should have Full Auto. I know that's not how it is in real life. This is Battlefield though, not real life. Balance.

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
I'd love to see TG host put this mod on server 2, even just to get a feel for it. This could be KILLER if played right, and the new map included in this release, Steel Thunder, is awesome. Main roads are surrounded by dense woods and high grass. An entire squad could be prone right infront of you and you wouldnt see them.
Armored vehicles and above are locked, as in TacMod.
New sounds for weapons. Much, MUCH better. When you fire the SAW, you feel it.
No enemy tags, like Tac Mod, but even longer till they appear. Look before you shoot.
Zoom in all mounted MG's. When you zoom, you also get a small crosshair.
Support can throw down ammo packs.
Little Bird is pure cool.
AT has no real way of defending himself against infantry. Dunno how good this is, but it does encourage teamplay.
And again, the forest battles: You move slowly, crouched. Your squad mates are moving along side you. SL goes prone, everyone stops. A shadow moves between the trees a hundred feet away. A shot is fired and your buddy takes it between the eyes. Your squad mates break formation and find cover, SL drops and disappears in the foliage. Tracers flying all around you. You aim through your sights and into the trees in the distance, and you see him. An enemy sniper shooting, and dropping in the grass. You wait for him to pop back up and pull the trigger. the SAW recoils in your hand. You spray the entire area The noise is murderous. Finally, you lay off the trigger. Silence. Sniper is down. Move on.
It's VERY immersive. At least I thought so. Played on some servers, with a pretty cool squad. It was grand.

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
Hi there,
Glad to see that you guys are enjoying/noticing our mod. Project Reality Mini Mod (PRMM) is currently at 0.25. So several changes have been made since the last time you guys tried out this mod.
I would love to see more |TG| guys and their teamwork on PRMM and I believe that you guys will enjoy it a lot since PRMM and |TG| have common goals. I believe you will find PRMM very similar to your "Tac Mod." I also noticed that there is a |TG| server that is running PRMM 0.25.
So for more information on PRMM please visit realitymod.com (would not let me post a URL).
Hope to see you there,
[R-PUB]Szarko

Re: Project Reality Mini-Mod .2
Hello Szarko,
Just downloaded the last version. I wish it were easier to find a full server for PRMM. Any tips?
