Creating a step-by-step guide to map creation
I know some of you are through most of the custom map development, so I wanted to hit you up to see if you guys could put down a step-by-step guide on how you did this. I'd like to create a sticky here for other map makers.
I know there are tutorials at bfeditor.org/forums/ but I haven't seen any good end-to-end tutorials. I don't necessarily need the details (yet) on how to do each step perfect. I'd like to start with the basics first.

Re: Creating a step-by-step guide to map creation
Has anyone drawn up such an all-inclusive guide yet?
With PRM being such a great mod with very few maps that show off its potential, I've been tossing around the idea of making a map with PRM specifically in mind. So if anyone has spotted such a guide (probably externally) please post about it here! |

Re: Creating a step-by-step guide to map creation
I advise to look around. I've seen guides like this a long time ago. I'm pretty sure there are some excellent guides around already. Might save a lot of work.

Re: Creating a step-by-step guide to map creation
I would be interesting in helping out. Granted I have no computer skills.
Check out this thread and go down to my first link: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...onus-maps.html It will take you to PR map forum. Here you will find what the devs are looking for in a map. ___ PR has a thread for map ideas. They're a lot of good ones, check it out: http://realitymod.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=ideas P.S. Kilrogg is back, ask him about it, he's good.

Yeah, good call, Rick and asch (not to be confused with Rick Astley).
