Re: Desert Conflict Client released
Not bad... Not great either.. Right now it's a noob fest tho, which makes it pretty much unplayable. Choppers are awesome.
We should try to get a TG game going Sunday nite or something -- could be fun.Last edited by Joebar; 03-31-2007 at 12:15 AM.

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
I only played for a little bit, but found it pretty underwhelming.

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
that is an understatement.. That is coming from a DC fan who played the original for years.. The only thing I really liked was the AT class still has mines + AT rockets + dumbfire stingers. and I LOVE stingers.
I did play on a couple other servers before joining the TG server... OMG I forgot how bad the bunnies are :/
over all disappointed.. maybe with more TG players, it might be playable[TG-19th]theeANGELofDEATH(Steam/Origin)

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
I have been waiting for this day/weekend for a long time.
I feel a little let down by this mod, but I have to keep it in perspective.
I think this game is a solid representation of what it was in it's prime....total chaos. That is how I learned to play. Kill Kill Kill. I guess I have TG to thank for showing me how much fun it can be to play in a well organized squad that it is hard for me to play in total chaos and enjoy it for a long time. For this weekend, any SL I had rarely gave orders nor did the squad listen to orders if any were given (different servers, not just TG). I spent this weekend in squads with guys like: TK4vehicle, BHn'ManiaC, RandomTK, 1stTimePilot, NoobPatrol and PeachFuzz. I am sure they were all really great guys, but it just was not what I hoped for. I am still a great fan of CTF, no matter how random and chaotic. I will probably play it mostly for that...after a few beers.

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
It's fun, and definitely has an old school feel to it, for better or worse.
Also, keep in mind that this is an alpha release, and it's still really really really early. I'm impressed so far.

Has a long way to go still. I wasn't really impressed with anything yet.

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
[tR]CbtEngr and I have been playing this off and on since it came out.I like it but we have a hard time finding a decent server.Bunny hopping, base camping and spawn raping is terrible. One server had 30 against 14 and nobody would change sides.Has anyone found a good server or am I spoiled with playing poe2 on tg server?

Re: Desert Conflict Client released
I know this is an older topic but I thought I would reply anyway. You are welcome to play on my 16 player DCon server. It is only 16 players because I am supporting it myself. You would also need to use TS as there is no ingame VOIP(remember, I'm supporting it myself). I got tired of the idiots too which is one of the reasons that I rent my own. Even though it is in it's early stages, I really like this mod. Sure it has its problems but again it is an Alpha release.
I am not always around to kick/ban or change maps but if you all play on it enough, I could be pursuaded to add a few admins. We can cross that bridge when or if we come to it. Although it may be small enough that it could be filled up with TGers and you wouldn't have to worry about idiots.
The server is called Tiger Den - Desert Conflict.
