Battlerecorder Files Not Available
Since I am being sniped by Dozor's 300 yards away which are shooting me when I am running perpendicular which I was told was almost impossible to hit, I tried to download the Battlerecorder files so I could see what was going on, but they are never available. I even play a whole extra round just to ensure they will be there because they are never there when I quit after the map I want is over with, yet nothing.
I get really frustrated playing because I am seeing myself being shot through hillsides. I was playing last night and I was standing and a guy shot me through a building wall and there was not a window. I am seeing hits on people who are laying down facing me and they do not die in one shot or even two sometimes so I want to see what is happening and report suspicious things to admins, but I cannot.
I really do not mind one shot one kills if I, too, can hit one shot one kills. I do not mind being knifed in one stab, but I get mad when I knife someone in the face and they dance around and shoot me.
I know there are people who are really good here who play the game 24/7, but things should be equal all ways and I am seeing otherwise. I am hoping that the BR's will bring light to my eyes because when I have shot people in the Hind with the Tomahawk in the past, it did not take down the Hind, but our Hind was taken down by a Tomahawk tonight. I have hit the Hind five times and it never goes down....it just bounces off.
I am hoping the BF files will reveal these players supposed greatness for me to emulate or at least evidence of something nefarious so we can get rid of them because cheating really detracts from bringing new players in and I think we need to control it.

Re: Battlerecorder Files Not Available
I find that's the case too. For some reason, BF2's GUI doesn't get the BFR file updates the way it should. But then, there really isn't that much about BF2's GUI that does work as it should or, at least, the way one would expect. I agree that it is most frustrating.
You can, however, download the files manually from here. The only hitch is that the file names are not intuitive. While their file names contain their time stamp, they do not indicate what map they were recorded on so it's important to note the time when the round ends whose BFR file you wish to grab. Also, the files are only on the server for a maximum of 24 hours, so grab them quick. I've lost great footage thinking that I could come back for the files at a later time when it would've be more convenient for me.Last edited by Apophis; 10-18-2007 at 05:24 PM.

Re: Battlerecorder Files Not Available
You sure your grabbing the current dates? Every match you play in gets saved so unless you delete the old bookmarks your gonna buildup a huge list that makes it hard to scroll to the current ones. The oldest ones will always be at the top.

Re: Battlerecorder Files Not Available
It seemed to work tonight. I think I built up too big of a list and had to delete some. Thanks though.

Re: Battlerecorder Files Not Available
Here... Bookmark this link... so even if you didnt play a round you can still go back and watch how mantis pulled another 12/1 KDR pwnage round
..
DL the file and put in ..My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/Default/Demos(you may have to make a demo folder if it is not there).. Then you can watch them in-game.
Thanks to Lucky Shot for the original linkage.Last edited by Tempus; 10-20-2007 at 02:39 AM.

Re: Battlerecorder Files Not Available
Lucky just doesn't want non-supporting members to see what Mantis uses to rack up those impressive KDRs on the rest of us...
