Download the link Lucky gave you to the 15beta. Extract it and it'll give you a "usi 15beta full" exe and a usi 16maps. winrar file. Install the exe to where you run BF2. Extract the 16maps somewhere (like to your X:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\usi.15) and the maps will update. Alt way (I did this) is to extract the 16maps winrar thing and copy/paste them in the mods\usi.15 folder.

Careful with the patch fellas...it is confusing and there was no readme in my .rar that truly indicated what you have to do. Naturally I figured just run the exe and that was it. Apparently this is what you have to do:
1. Unrar the download
2. Apply Patch "usi.16_patch.exe"
3. Unrar "usi.16_maps" (you will get the folder "usi.15"
4. Copy "usi.15" from above to your bf2/mods directory (mine is: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods)
5. Play|TG-12th|mantis

Do I need to have a previous version of USI, or can I start with .16?

that mod was super unstable but thanks for the try lucky made me realize how stable poe really is lol

beta = unstable
It's unfortunate really. USI was the first mod that I played and I had kind of hoped they would have made more progress on it than they have in the last year+ or so.
Well, it ain't PoE.
Either way, I had company over so I had to sit this one out.
