Note that Whiskey's simplification above applies only to 5 CP maps. For small maps, holding 2 of 3 would be 5 per minute if the default rate is set to 10.
Also note that we used to have that formula completely replaced on the TG server with a simpler version which I created. The simpler version had a faster bleed rate and immediately started bleed whenever one team held less flags than the other.Peace through fear... since 1947!

really? it's the same equation regardless of map size isn't it? and it's just based on the area differential?

Even on maps like Snake Eyes? Perhaps something different is needed for assault maps.
