TG-3rd guys in the server
There were several guys that play 2142 regularly in the server last night, and I inadvertently was in their squad, but had fun. Hope you guys come back tonight.

I've noticed that too, and its truly a wind of fresh air. Reaper, Ancunondo and all other 3rd's, you're all welcome to our humble PoE experience. Hope to see you out there tonight...

Re: TG-3rd guys in the server
You may regret that invitation. When the 3rd descend on a game, they come en mass.
Expect to see Crux, Azura, Damonte, Reaper, Guardian, Anospa, Aruncado, Arithea, Sc1ence, Zhohar, Razcsak, Rakkasan, BleedingKnee, and a few others show up.
We're still learning the in's and out's of the armor, but we did pretty well with the infantry maps.

Welcome to more of the 3rd. Many of those names I recognize from CoD4. Great to have more of you checking out POE2.

Yeah, we're new to PoE but learning the ropes fast enough. Its a nice change. I love how you can actually go in the buildings. Its awesome! That and I like how it tracks the individual support tasks and classes and then says who did the best at what in the post action report.

There's also no UAV/Scan gadgets, so you can stretch your legs a little with some tactics ... it actually pays off to take the scenic route sometimes

Yup! And I believe we'll be around tonight. We've coined it "PoE Tuesday" so some of us should be around tonight.

Re: TG-3rd guys in the server
I had the pleasure of joining a squad with many members from the 3rd last night for rounds on Rolling Thunder and Fallen as well as being SL on a difficult round for the UKR on Raid on Kerch. A simple observation...sometimes when we play a game for so long we may settle into the routine of the game as we play it many times a week or month. While we may enjoy the game, it may lose it's newness to us over time because we focus on map after map, round after round. As I was playing with these very skilled players that just happened to be new to this game, I started to hear things over VOIP like, "Wow, this Fallen map is beautiful...look at it...man I could get used to playing this a few more nights a week" or on Kerch, "Do players really camp in Dingos like that and just blast away with that turret?" (lol) or at the end of Rolling Thunder, "I think we need a celebratory TK of the squad leader". Even after I was SL on a tough round of Kerch and I was thinking to myself, this is not how I wanted to show these guys this map, they finished to round with "that was awesome, good round guys, that was fun".
Their enthusiasm for the game shook me out of the fog of routine play and gave me that new toy appreciation for POE all over again. It hit me all over again about what a great, challenging game this is built on beautiful scenery.
Thanks to the guys in the 3rd for their enthusiasm and appreciation for getting to know more about POE2. They are great players that reminded me what a gem we have with this game. It has become new to me all over again.|TG-12th| jb4

Re: TG-3rd guys in the server
Thanks for the kind words jb! And thanks for helping to show us the ropes and answering our "noob" questions regarding PoE. Its great to come from BF2142 and play for a few nights on the TG PoE server and get such a warm reception. Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside about how great of a community we have here at TG.
Thanks also to Mantis, Dirtboy, and DaVinci (I think that is all the TG that was on last night. Sorry if I forgot anyone) for a couple of great rounds last night. We had a blast!
I'm glad that our enthusiasm has deepened your enjoyment of the game. At least you get something good out of putting up with us.
As far as getting to know more about PoE... you guys have got me hooked. You can expect to see me around on Tuesdays. I'll shelve my Voss, AED-2 defib, and MHUB-21 for an AK-74, paddles, and medical satchel and come stomp the forests and beaches with you guys.
