    Battlefield Apocalypse 2-6 8pm



    Get ready to check out the newest mod who's timeline is set up after every other battle is complete. Yes, that's Battlefield Apocalypse that we're talking about. Join the 5th as we explore the "Mad Max" style mod as one of 4 factions including the Remnants, the Reavers, the Keepers and the Damned. Grab your favorite weapon be it a saw gun, baseball bat or flame thrower and snag your vehicle of choice including Boom Buggies, Dump Trucks, Bi Planes or Multi-gatling gun Camaro and meet us on the private server on 2/6 at 8pm eastern. Make sure you grab the Client plus the Patch to be able to play. This event is open to TG Forum members.

    I tried installing the mod last night, along with the patch, and every time I go to the multiplayer screen the game CTDs on me. Anyone else having this issue?

    I kept getting the same until I installed the patch... (I didnt read all the directions first.. doh) but after that I had no problem and even populated a server and soon found myself running around with a dozen others...

    I will hold most of my comments on this mod till after we play tomorrow night but will just say that I think this mod still has a ways to go.

    I have no doubt though that it is always a blast to play with other TGrs no matter what the game is

    checked out the dev site, looked at the images, watched the vid clips...

    This one just isn't for me. Someone else will have to write AAR for MODNESS weekly.

    hmm, installed client ok
    downloaded patch
    patch has a whole bunch of files it cant install
    final message says patch file is corrupted
    On the site there is only one patch file I can get to , the doom.com site

    Run this small fix ONLY if you have previously patched before. This is a small fix to address the crash issues which newer downloads are experiencing. It is set to automatically overwrite and you will not receive a completed message.

    The Main Patch is now fixed and is available for download.

    We've just addressed some more issues with a few maps still crashing after our first patch, which now should make the build more stable. Whether you've already patched the game or not, you should patch again just to be sure that you have the latest updates.

    Hey, this game had some fun weapons. I think that SodaBottleRocket is better than the AT's on POE... lol, at least in the hands of Rockford;-) The maps were a little big for the amount of players we had, and as we discussed needed a few more touches, but fun none the less. I hope we can get the bugs of crashing worked out, and more TGers to join in on these Wed. night mods. They are a nice addition to the BF2 series and changes things up a little.

    Had a blast last night while I was there. There still is some things they need to work out but all in all it was some good fun with some good folks. I have really been enjoying hanging out with you all on these mod nights and look forward to the next one.

    I looked at the TS channel and noticed the same group of players... then hit the POE server. It was a pretty good night on POE. With all the guys that usually own me, playing the MOD, I held my own against pubbie nation. : ) Had a couple good squads going. I played until 12:00 EST which is late for em so things had to be going pretty well.

    Park... you missed out on some really cool weapons. I personally enjoyed the flame thrower the most even though many loved the SodaBottleRocket more. There was something kinda fun and twisted about watching a guy burn up under the flame thrower.. or get mowed down by a nail gun even the baseball bat with the screwdriver on the end was kinda cool.
